This is really disturbing. Labour are looking at VPN bans, overnight curfews and introducing total State control of the internet.

Today I've agreed with @eucopresident that we will hold the second UK-EU summit on 22 July. 💰 The Government has signed off £800,000 to support Vietnam’s net zero targets. Seriously, what are we doing? Energy bills have now gone up six times under this government. Millions of British households are struggling with the cost of living. Yet somehow we have nearly £800,000 available to help another country pursue its Net Zero ambitions. I like Vietnam. It’s a fantastic country. But if Vietnam wants to invest in its energy transition, surely Vietnam should pay for it. British taxpayers have enough bills of their own.

The horrific attack in Belfast last night is sickening. I have absolutely no tolerance for abhorrent scenes of violence like this on our streets. My thoughts are first and foremost with the victim, and I thank the first responders, including members of the public who intervened.

Henry Nowak was kind, thoughtful and much-loved. His life was stolen from him, leaving his family and loved ones devastated. The bodycam footage is harrowing. It’s absolutely right that the IOPC is looking at this. There are serious questions for the police to answer.

Over a million workers are now supported by the net zero economy. Last year we broke the record for solar generation. This year we’ve already broken records for offshore wind generation. That’s what delivering on our clean power mission looks like.
