Good books immerse you in a new world. Great books introduce you to a new worldview.
Good books are page-turners—they're meant to be devoured. Great books are corner-folders—they're made to be savored.
Good books keep you engaged. Great books leave you changed.

UPDATE: CDC confirms first severe case of H5N1 bird flu in the U.S.
The patient in Louisiana has been hospitalized with serious illness. Linked to sick birds.
I encourage everyone to watch @MattMcGorry’s latest Long Covid video. He nails so many salient points - including this:
The pandemic was traumatizing for everyone. Of course we want to believe it’s over. But it’s not - and avoiding dealing with that reality? It’s costing lives.
Universal masking and social distancing at the start of the pandemic were so effective that they eliminated a strain of flu, and now annual flu vaccines have been redesigned because that strain no longer needs to be included in the shot. Amazing.
Suffering from Long Covid has been devastating for millions and killed thousands. Multiply this heart-wrenching story and the vast damage caused by SARS-CoV-2 becomes evident. It’s not a mere “cold”, but far worse for far too many.
