Hey @KiranaClubApp team welcome to the @Meesho_Official family. let’s change the world together @viditaatrey
We are extending our mission of democratising internet commerce for everyone to a new stakeholder : Retailers. Meesho has acquired @KiranaClubApp. India’s grocery market is estimated at ~$658 billion, with kirana and general trade channels accounting for nearly 91% of the market. Yet millions of kiranas across Tier 3, Tier 4 and rural India still rely on fragmented distributor networks, limited assortment and opaque pricing structures for sourcing. Anshul Gupta (@baniaintech) and Aishwarya Jain (@AishwaryaTSD) built Kirana Club to solve exactly this. A zero-inventory, zero-field-sales, community-first B2B marketplace, purpose-built for kiranas outside metro India. Today, the platform serves 4.1 million registered retailers. Deep trust built through a model that was designed for this market from day one. What drew us to Kirana Club was the philosophy behind it: asset-light, community-led, built for users that mainstream platforms overlooked. It’s the same instinct with which Sanjeev and I built Meesho. We’re excited about the opportunities ahead and look forward to building for retailers across Bharat.

Excited to double down on @etherealmachine that is pioneering precision manufacturing in India, by building 5-axis CNC machines, building the controllers and the entire software stack in-house. This is as deep tech as it gets and soon we will have a giant factory to house 1000s of our own machines and cater to a massive wall of demand from defence, consumer electronics, semiconductors and energy. "Do hard things" is the motto of this amazing team led by @MuddaKaushik and Navin from our 9th cohort of @_surgeahead! @peakxvpartners @shaileshlakhani
India is at an inflection point in precision manufacturing. As global companies look for more resilient supply chains and demand grows across #aerospace, #defence, #semiconductors and medical devices, India has the opportunity to become a trusted global hub for precision manufacturing. @MuddaKaushik (Kaushik Mudda), Navin Jain and the @etherealmachine (Ethereal Machines) team are building exactly the kind of full-stack capability this moment requires, from proprietary CNC machines and factory software to scaled production capability. We've partnered with this team since @_surgeahead's 9th cohort and are excited to continue deepening that partnership ✨ Congratulations to the entire team! 🚀 economictimes.indiatimes.com… @RajanAnandan

Building for India means building for the diversity of how India shops. 🛒 Bazaarnow is building quick commerce for Tier 2 and 3 cities with local assortments, regional brands and quality fresh produce at its core. Backed by deep operating experience across ecommerce and quick commerce, the team has a clear conviction: India's emerging cities deserve products built for their realities, not adapted from elsewhere. “Climb the mountain not to plant your flag, but to embrace the challenge, enjoy the air and behold the view. Climb it so you can see the world, not so the world can see you.” - David McCullough Jr.
Three years ago today, Peak XV (Peak Fifteen) was rebranded taking its name from the original name of Mount Everest. The name speaks directly to our ambition: to aim for the highest peak there is, and to partner deeply with world-class founders making the climb. Over the last few years, we have continued to evolve, expanding our presence across regions, deepening our work in AI and deeptech, and partnering with founders building for global maxima. As Peak XV unveils its refreshed brand identity today at peakxv.com, we're excited to share a refreshed identity and website for Surge as well. Our new look is a nod to the Surge in every early-stage founder who chose the mountain before they could see the top: their grit, the courage to fight all odds, and the discipline to build something enduring. Explore our new look at surge.peakxv.com and watch our latest brand film below. We're as excited as ever to #surgeahead! @RajanAnandan @sjs_day1

At a moment when AI is fundamentally reshaping everything, spaces for women in tech to learn, unlearn, and connect are important. Many of those in the room spoke about how intimidating it can still feel to be a woman in tech — especially in AI spaces that often feel exclusive or difficult to break into. That’s why communities like this matter. #WomenInAIEdit @TheProductfolks @kriti_kg

The discussion led by @AnthropicAI's Rishikesh Radhakrishnan focused on experimenting with frontier AI systems and workflows. Signals: • AI systems are full operating environments for design, coding, research, and workflow automation. • Faster shipping increases the need for strong engineering practices, especially around security, observability, and validation. • The real value of AI workflows comes from reducing iteration cycles between idea, prototype, and production. • The biggest shift for product teams is designing for where frontier models will be in six months, not where they are today. • Treat AI agents more like teammates that need delegation, verification, and guardrails. #WomenInAIEdit 5/n

@getscapia just raised $63M, led by @generalcatalyst. @peakxvpartners and @z47_vc doubled down. I want to say what this round actually means to us. This is not just validation. This is responsibility. The work today is the same as yesterday. Build a travel ecosystem that a generation of Indians actually wants. Earn trust one transaction at a time. Stay rooted while we scale. Delight our customers. Our customer base grew 7x last year, with India showing up in ways that quietly excite me the most. To every Scapia customer, thank you for picking us. You are the motivation behind every product we ship and every small fix. To the Scapia team, you are turning belief into a product people reach for every day. Thank you, team. Long innings ahead. We are still padding up! To the General Catalyst team, welcome. To Peak XV Partners and Z47 and our existing investors, @ElevCap , 3STATE Ventures and Tanglin Venture Partners, thank you for backing us before any of this was obvious. And on AI, we are already native. Every single person at Scapia is doubling down on it, every single day. It is how we hire, how we build, how we decide. This round lets us go further. Deeper upskilling for the team we have. Sharper hiring for people who build with AI by default. AI-native products for a generation that expects nothing less. The best Scapia is the one we have not yet built. Striving to improve. Forever.

Huge congratulations to @asingla77 (Ankur Singla), @JakubPav (Jakub Pav), Marco Rodrigues (@marcoprodrigues) and the @ExaforceAI team on your Series B! 🚀 AI is changing the speed, scale and sophistication of cyber threats, and SOC teams need a new operating system for this era. What drew us to Exaforce was the team’s clarity: not another AI feature layered onto fragmented tools, but a platform built around a real-time data layer and knowledge graph, enabling AI agents to reason with full context. Proud to partner with the team as they build for the next era of security ✨ Read more ⬇️: techcrunch.com/2026/05/12/ex… @aakash_kpr

Terrific insights from Mohit Yadav, the co-founder of #Minimalist. From our second cohort of @_surgeahead, Minimalist got to Rs 100Cr of revenues 9 months after launching while being profitable! Several years after that, at a much higher scale, the company was acquired by #HUL for Rs3000 CR in 2025. 15 months after the acquisition, the company is track to double yet again. Quick comm is playing a role in rapid growth...hear Mohit's thoughts on winning in the QC channel
Mohit Yadav, Co-Founder & CEO of #Minimalist, speaks to Rajan Anandan (@RajanAnandan) about why QuickCommerce is here to stay and the intensity of competition in the space. A key question for consumer brands: What actually gets you to scale on QuickCommerce with the limited slots on the platforms? Mohit's answer: either bring something differentiated or give up margin. Two years ago, brands were asking if the category would even work on QuickCommerce. Today, the battle is for visibility and shelf space. With dark stores constrained by limited capacity, platforms are becoming gatekeepers. The conversation has shifted from “Will this work?” to “What does it take to stay listed?” Highlights from this clip: 🚀In QComm, you compete for platform partnership, not just customers. 🚀As the channel matures, the cost of entry only rises. 🚀In QComm, the advantage comes from scaling alongside platforms as they expand into new territories.
