Naveen Pemmaraju shares real-world findings from a retrospective cohort study evaluating the treatment patterns and outcomes of pacritinib in patients with
#myelofibrosis stratified by platelet (PLT) counts (N = 168).
Category 1 reduction in spleen size was observed in 62% and 71% of patients with PLT <50x109/L and ≥50x109/L, respectively. SLR≥25 was achieved by 82% and 83% of patients in the PLT <50x109/L and ≥50x109/L groups, while SLR≥50 was achieved by 41% and 25%, respectively. Median hemoglobin increased by 0.6 g/dL and 0.8 g/dL by Day 180 in patients with PLT <50x109/L and ≥50x109/L, respectively. Both groups showed a reduction in MF-related symptoms through Day 180. The findings highlight the potential of pacritinib in treating patients with MF with and without severe thrombocytopenia.
