The RCMP’s "Native extremism program" is a jaw-dropping betrayal. Wiretaps & secret dossiers were used to target leaders fighting for their rights—not security threats. I’m calling on the Public Safety Minister to release all files & hold public hearings. Accountability now. ⬇️

This is utterly incoherent. What Canadians need to hear from our Prime Minister right now is simple: call for a ceasefire and immediately withdraw your misguided support for Trump and Netanyahu’s illegal war. Canadians don’t want to be part of this axis of aggression and impunity, AI-targeted assassinations, and the blatant killing of civilians. We want our country to be a voice for peace.
Asked about the illegality of the US-Israeli attack on Iran, Carney admits that “it appears that these actions are inconsistent with international law,” while simultaneously reaffirming that he supports it “in context.” This is not a principled foreign policy, it is a total mess.

Leqaa Kordia joins Mahmoud Khalil in detention. Her situation is far worse, she has no green card.

BREAKING | The Department of Homeland Security has announced a second student who participated in pro-Palestinian protests at Columbia University has been arrested. ICE arrested Leqaa Kordia, a Palestinian student from the West Bank, for overstaying her visa. DHS said Kordia had previously been involved in “pro-Hamas protests at Columbia.” The Trump administration also revoked the visa of Ranjani Srinivasan, an Indian citizen and doctoral student, on March 5 for “supporting Hamas.” On Tuesday, March 11, Srinivasan opted to “self-deport” using the CBP Home App. Secretary Kristi Noem stated: “When you advocate for violence and terrorism, that privilege should be revoked, and you should not be in this country.” The full DHS readout is below 👇🏼

Mohammad Halimy. Before he was killed by Israel, he said “After this genocide is over, I will pursue my life dreams, no matter how long it takes—even if it takes 50 years. I aim to achieve so much that everyone will remember my name.” He was only 19, and he loved gardening.

Palestinians aren’t human beings in Trudeau’s eyes. No relief expressed for Palestinian hostages released from Israel’s torture dungeons? No relief for the 2.3 million Palestinians terrorized beyond comprehension for 470 days straight in the world’s first live-streamed genocide?
I am relieved to hear that three hostages have been returned to Israel under the ceasefire agreement.    But this is not the end. Hamas must release every hostage — including the body of Judih Weinstein to her family. More is needed and the ceasefire must be upheld to the fullest extent.    And while today brings good news, I’m thinking of the families who know their loved ones will not come home, and everyone who has lost and suffered so much in this conflict.

extremely amusing to watch the orientalist perspective of "china is an evil far off land full of demons and communism" shift into the equally orientalist perspective of "china is a wondrous and kind far off land full of angels and communism" in real time
