At some point in the last month, with no fanfare, the sidewalk on the new Wittpenn bridge officially opened to pedestrians and bikes. Wondering if there's a plan to protect this sidewalk from high speed traffic? @NewJerseyDOT@NJBikeWalk
Not clear why we are allowing the owners/custodians of these wrecked and burned out vehicles and vacant trailers to store them indefinitely on public roads and under highway bridges here in Newark. @NewJerseyDOT@NJSP
Maybe you've heard of "Desire Paths." This guardrail serves as a Desire Bench recently vacated by its users who hopped on the @NJTRANSIT bus to Newark from this forsaken corner of Kearny Point. This corner needs a proper bus stop and shelter.
NJ’s 2 biggest cities are ≈6mi apart, and connected by several bridges, all of which are highways, none of which are safely passable by foot, bike, or other mobility devices.

It has been 623 days, nearly 2 years, since the new Wittpenn bridge opened to car traffic. Yet it remains officially off limits to bikes and pedestrians. @NewJerseyDOT@njdotcom@CommutingLarry@NJBikeWalk@bikejc How much longer? What's the hold up?
I've been attaching plug strips to the backs of cabinets or underside of my desks for decades now, and I keep waiting for the inexplicable industry-standard blind mounting holes to change, but it never does...
Really great history of CitiBike here. I was a hard core skeptic at the start and believed you had to own your own bike. Became an annual member in 2014 and never lapsed!
Creating CitiBike mega-🧵! It began 16 yrs ago. NYC had released a new 🌎 plan & Mayor Bloomberg had recruited @JSadikKhan to set a new transportation direction. Janette noted our early interest in what Paris was doing in the recent @Curbed 10-yr piece: curbed.com/2023/05/citi-bike…
Is there any chance that this 'final paving' will be accompanied by official opening of the Wittpenn Bridge to bikes and pedestrians? @NewJerseyDOT@CommutingLarry@NJBikeWalk
