RGGI allowances increased 78% in 1-yr, reaching $35/ton. That’s $15/MWh added to electricity prices in New England! Time for the states to prove how the benefits are real, measurable, and proportional to the costs they've imposed on consumers. This is nuts! @windaction

It’s so much better to just admit when you screw up, and apologize. Instead, these arrogant lawmakers double down.
Just in case @MassGovernor edits or deletes the video, you can listen to the remarks mentioned in the @ConsiderMeDunn article here. The internet is forevah. #mapoli

“The state’s pension system exists to serve retirees, not as a venture capital fund for politicians. Investment decisions should be based on maximizing returns for beneficiaries, not on what projects state officials want to promote,” MassFiscal Executive Director Paul Craney told the Herald in a written statement.

When this orchestrated attack on personal freedoms visited Peabody we stood tall. "I am proud that my colleagues and the city of Peabody slammed the brakes on this governing by appointed boards, which I fear may be the new norm if we allow it,” Manning-Martin said Monday. “Once the public had the opportunity to be heard on the move to create two classes of citizens upon whom personal freedoms will be either allowed or restricted, they didn’t like it one bit – and my fellow councilors and the Board of Health in Peabody heard the message loud and clear and respected it.” @pauldiegocraney

Acushnet Select Board Chair Kevin Gaspar says residents are "pretty aggravated" about the June 20 revote on the proposed $288 million Old Colony High School project. The project was rejected last November by a 62%-38% margin, yet taxpayers are now being asked to vote on it again. Gaspar said one of the biggest concerns he's hearing is simple: if residents reject a project, should officials keep bringing it back until they get a different result? Local officials are also raising concerns about affordability. Beyond the construction costs, district documents indicate enrollment and staffing would expand, increasing annual operating costs for the five member communities. As Gaspar noted, many residents feel "the ask is too much" and "people just can't afford it anymore." #acushnetma #rochesterma #lakevillema #mattapoisettma #carverma

Big THANK YOU to @MarcTLombardo @RepNickBoldyga, they always vote on behalf of the taxpayers.
THREAD 🧵 Yesterday, the Massachusetts House passed a $228 million supplemental budget on a 154-2 vote. Most of the attention focused on the spending. But lawmakers also approved several major policy changes buried in the bill: 🧵1/7

Beacon Hill has increased state spending by billions of dollars in recent years. The state budget has grown from roughly $47 billion to more than $60 billion in just a few years. But when asked about reducing the income tax from 5% to 4%, Governor Healey's response was immediate: "Bad." For many Beacon Hill politicians, tax relief is always a bad idea. For taxpayers trying to make ends meet, it's a conversation worth having. #mapoli

During today’s session - •Another $22 Million was doled out for FREE Prison Phone Calls. •Another $35 Million for Off-Shore wind. As Cities & Towns are facing Prop 2 1/2 overrides, cutting police & fire services, and laying off teachers- the priorities of Beacon Hill were on full display. I Voted No.
