↳ 512 days ↳ 222 journeys of change ↳ 1090 transformations A game of attention, rarity, and impermanence — Temporals, our first art series at @extropyart, comes to an end. Over time, like our memories,Temporals have become hazy, fractured, murky, fragmented, distorted, and a select few have even been forgotten and lost. Forever grateful to all the collectors that supported this wild experiment and participated in this shared experience. More to come⏳

"Residual Notes is ultimately optimistic. It proposes that communication can still function as a shared social act rather than a competition for visibility."

I’m back home after three weeks in Spain working on my mid career retrospective which includes over 300 works from 21 years of work. It’s a privilege to get these kinds of opportunities. It has been more struggling than successes, but the pull to do art is far bigger than any of the problems I had to face in order to keep creating. Wishing all my artist peers get a chance like this in their careers.

Five years ago, I replied to a tweet and it changed my life. "The web3 space needs better marketing — anyone want to start an agency?" A few anons said yes. Within a day we had set up a company, aligned on goals, and were off to the races. That was SHILLR. What we built together still amazes me: we helped 40 clients generate ~$100M in revenue, funded exhibitions for 1,000 artists, launched events, podcasts, art releases — and had the privilege of playing a small role in one of the most powerful creative, technological and cultural movements in history. Supporting rising creators, helping founders navigate the complexities of this industry, and getting to work alongside some of the most talented people I've ever met — the past five years has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. But all good things come to a close – and I wanted to share that my co-founders and I have decided to wind down SHILLR. The clearest lesson from all of it: the best marketing is authentically doing and being. That principle guided everything we built, and it's the one I'm carrying forward. I've taken time to reflect and be present with my family. Now I'm ready for what's next. There's nowhere I'd rather contribute than at the forefront of technology and culture — whether in a marketing, comms, or growth leadership role, at a fund, or in an advisory capacity. If you're building something that matters, let's talk. To everyone who was part of SHILLR — my co-founders, team, collaborators, clients, and this community at large — thank you. It was an absolute privilege 🫡

Humans were biological language machines long before AI existed. AI didn't introduce a new condition. it just made the old one visible. A new substack piece. Feel free to comment! With work by @SHL0MS open.substack.com/pub/dagied…

Ricky Retouch x The Garden Presenting: ‘Split Logic’ A collection of 100 procedural motion works inspired by analog display systems from the 1970s–90s. Built from screen partitions, coded labels, moving fields, and rule-based color, the series imagines terminals from an unknown system: part diagnostic interface, part speculative machine language. Across the works, information drifts between utility and abstraction. Grids flicker. Signals scatter. Motion emerges through directional noise, shifting points, and algorithmic constraints that never fully settle into order. The surfaces move away from the paper-like texture of earlier collections toward something colder, denser, and more digital. Glow, blur, compression, and instability become part of the material itself.

Rutherford Chang created a living system that makes value perform & sustains itself on the undercurrents of interpretation and exchange that flow continually through the world. He used social forces like a magnetic field where the poles of physical & digital, sense & absurdity, obsolescence & timelessness, seek perpetually and futilely for cohesion, convulsing like a proto-organism in a primordial soup. CENTS binds an old world that never existed to an unraveling future.

𝔒𝔯𝔠𝔥𝔦𝔡𝔰 is the genesis volume of a multi-volume body of work that explores the intersection of machine learning and traditional craft and printmaking approaches. In October last year I visited the NSW Herbarium in Australia, and was given access to their extensive native orchid collection, some of the specimens were a century old, some were collected from the rainforest next to my home. After curating from five specific genera, the open image dataset became the training material for a machine-learning model. The work is now available to acquire as a complete suite of five works (I II III IV V). 🌷 𝔒𝔯𝔠𝔥𝔦𝔡𝔰 examines cultivation as it migrates from the botanical into the technological domain, positioning machine learning as a continuum site of cultivation. Each plate functions as a die for blind embossing onto paper, a printmaking process that embosses without ink. The raised reliefs appear as traces of forms that never existed, registering the presence of absence. Link 👇

The worst thing is to give up before trying something that could be extraordinary A movement never starts with a bang but with a whisper By those who are willing to take risks that are inches at a time but miles of success for the future Art is the experiment of experience
