Grand juror pressed the prosecutor on whether there are "any new actual facts" on the second attempt: "I heard this case like last week and I thought it was a crock of shit then and I still think it is."

Prime Minister Robert Abela (Malta) appointed Glenn Bedingfield as Minister for Home Affairs and National Security. The trial of the alledged mastermind of assasinated journalist Dahpne Caruana Galizia still has to start. This is what I wrote on Mr. Bedingfield (my CoE report)

Sadio Mane, a Senegalese soccer star, earns approximately $10.2 million annually. He gave the world a rude awakenng after some fans were flabbergasted when they saw him carrying a cracked iPhone 11. His response was awesome: "Why would I want ten Ferraris, 20 diamond watches, and two jet planes? I starved, I worked in the fields, played brefoot, and I didn't go to school. Now I can help people. I prefer to build schools and give poor people food or clothing. I have built schools and a stadium, provide clothes, shoes, and food for people in extreme poverty. In addition, I give 70 euros per month to all people from a very poor Senegalese region in order to contribute to their family economy. I do not need to display luxury cars, luxury homes, trips, and even planes. I prefer that my people receive some of what life has given me.

Wouldn't want to be downrange of that firing at that acute angle, at the end of the video you can see c-ram rounds ricochet. I hope they did an assessment. Presumably you can program it not to fire at certain arcs?

Actually maybe those aren't ricochet at the end of the video. Interceptor missiles maybe?

Could anything be more stupid than the row over BAFTA? Yes, you invite someone with Tourettes to a ceremony featuring a film based on his life and he exhibits the exact behaviour the film is based on and it's the BBC's fault?

It's a mischievous BBC-hating conspiracy theory. From my own long experience (providing material for the BBC since 1970), an 'active editorial decision' to ignore significant news would be resisted by @bbcnews staff with vigorous & likely public protest. We're the awkward squad!

This makes no sense… An MP can wake up one morning, ditch the party you elected them for, & sign up to a completely different manifesto… And we’re supposed to be ok with that? Nah If they defect to a different party, we should get a vote Sign the petition & help make that law. petition.parliament.uk/petit…

My open letter to @RachelReevesMP (cc @Ofcom, @SciTechgovuk) Now O2 has broken the taboo, the big risk is other firms will likely follow suit... the govt must step in to stop mobile, broadband and pay-TV firms increasing prices mid contract by MORE than they said they would when people sign up.

Alastair is right.
In the client journalism of modern times, allied to the right wing bias of our press and its influence on the broadcast media, the papers whip themselves into a conference season hysteria - main story Farage to be PM - and given they know he is Trumpian in media matters, they worry about being denied access to him, so don’t cover him with the same levels of scrutiny as a would be PM merits. The media near blackout on Farage-Nathan Gill is but the latest symptom of this terrible media condition.

This winter, households with electricity and gas on prepayment meters who can't afford to top them up will pay on average £6.14 a week to sit in the cold and dark. That is what today's @ofgem price cap rises in standing charges mean.

I don’t know if anyone saw this horrific story of Rose, a young carer forced to repay £2000? She’s been looking after her mum since she was EIGHT, and has set up a crowdfund to help clear the debt but has ZERO donations. Can we help Rose?? crowdfunder.co.uk/p/young-ca…
