To @LalanSingh_1 The Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act was enacted in 1960. In 2026, India is still effectively operating under a law 𝘄𝗵𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗽𝗲𝗻𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗯𝗲𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗲 𝗮 𝗻𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. A fine that can be as low as ₹10 for animal cruelty is a 𝗺𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗼𝗳 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲, not a deterrent. Your own ministry received the long-awaited draft amendments to the PCA Act in 2022. Four years later, those amendments still remain unimplemented while animals continue to suffer and die every day. Citizens who defend animals and fulfill their constitutional duty under Article 51A(g) are facing 𝘁𝗵𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝘀, 𝘃𝗶𝗼𝗹𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, 𝗵𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘀𝘀𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝗱𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Across the country, animals continue to be subjected to cruelty, exploitation, and killing, while meaningful legal reform remains stalled. At the same time, India continues to be among the world's largest exporters of buffalo meat, and animals continue to be sacrificed in the name of tradition and superstition, despite Article 51A(h) calling upon citizens to develop a scientific temper, humanism, and the spirit of inquiry and reform. A minister entrusted with animal welfare should be leading reform, strengthening protections, and standing with the vulnerable 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗼𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘆𝗲𝗮𝗿𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗱𝗲𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗶𝗹𝗲 𝗰𝗿𝘂𝗲𝗹𝘁𝘆 𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗮𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀. If animals are not protected, if compassionate citizens are not protected, and if long-promised legal reforms are not delivered, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝘂𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗿𝗲𝗺𝗮𝗶𝗻𝘀 𝘁𝗼 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗲?
