I have realized that many of my friends don't criticize me or don't ask me the relevant questions thinking I might get offended. Don't worry. Here is your chance to talk to me in an anonymous manner. secret.viralsachxd.com/c0e2a… I will never know the identity of the person 😊

Couldn't agree more. Don't try to usurp humanity in the name of "innovation". Let us try to find solutions to problems that really exist
5 years from now or 50 years from now patients still want the same: Competent and empathetic physicians who are accessible when the need arises, and affordable care. We cannot wrap stuff with the word “innovation” when the changes in healthcare policies and priorities are reducing the development of clinical excellence, placing barriers to access, increasing cost of care, and accelerating burnout of experienced clinicians.

Has the @CDSCO_INDIA_INF conveniently forgotten that there are #hematologists who are specially trained to treat #bloodcancers ? This order has surprised me as I was a member of the Subject Expert Committee of CDSCO on #HematologyOncology for more than 5 years. If CDSCO feels hematooncologists are not competent to conduct #clinicaltrials on patients with blood cancers then should we stop treating these patients ? @NMC_IND @MoHFW_INDIA @DrPMPGI @RahulDoc2 @drtulikahemat

Crystallised wisdom #academicmedicine
These are really challenging times for academic medicine. You have to set your goals. If you want to be at the top of the field what matters is truly enduring contributions that help improve patient outcomes. Visibility, titles, fame are transient. Enduring contributions to your field or to the delivery of excellent care at your own institution will set you apart. Success in any field needs a huge amount of hard work, talent, perseverance, and yes, luck. You need to want to do what you are doing. Passion. Whether your efforts are in research, practice or education, what will set you apart is always hard work, talent, and perseverance. With that luck is more likely to be on your side.

I am at this point totally convinced that we need physicians to guide engineers to build models if we really want great models to be built from our institutions! Leave your egos and work with physicians. Also urge physicians to up your game in fundamentals, you will start seeing very obvious patterns which you use to diagnose / manage patients which AI models still do not do because no one really taught them.

Couldn't agree more. Patients are not data points. They are humans who need fellow human beings to take care of them. The "corporate" hospitals funded by PEs and VCs tried to demean the doctors by treating them as slaves who are just there to earn profits for the hospital. AI tech companies are trying to eliminate doctors to maximize profits. If both of them join hands to please their shareholders, "health" and "care" would completely disappear from healthcare.

Medical Education would never be the same again. Don't worry about the facts, notes and lectures. We only have to learn the art of listening and thinking. Models have already been developed to help us train becoming more empathetic and humane.
Medical doctor using AI: "Just on a lark, I was able to create, in about 2 weeks, and a hundred million tokens, an entire medical school curriculum. 450 lectures and notes, 16000 figures. Multiple rounds of error checking show that the work is 99% flawless. Going to release and open source it soon. Normally this takes years of work from hundreds of humans. Instead an agent swarm from Claude Code was able to do it in days." Exhilarating and scary.

#healthcare is NOT a #luxury. It is our #right
In myeloma, we know the inequities people face. Our vision is fair treatment, access, and opportunity for all. Inspired by Dr. King’s words, we continue breaking down health barriers so all can live long * live well. 📷: D DeMarsico / NY World-Telegram & Sun, Library of Congress

Voxelgrids marks a significant milestone with its first successful clinical installation, advancing homegrown medical technology in India. Through our investment, we’re proud to support the deployment of India’s first indigenous MRI scanners at Chandrapur Cancer Hospital on behalf of Tata Trusts, supporting @voxelgrids' vision to develop critical medical devices that are accessible and affordable for those in smaller towns and villages.

A much needed invention. Hat's off. Let it be scaled up and used all over the world #snakebite
When a snakebite strikes, every minute counts. Panic often takes over, and guessing whether it is venomous can cost lives. Now, a simple strip and a drop of blood can give the answer in just two minutes. Developed by Bhat Biotech India Private Limited in Bengaluru under Dr Shama Bhat, this kit took years of research and has shown 100% accuracy in trials. Dr Bhat, originally from Kasaragod, has over 35 years of experience in biotechnology and has introduced India to several essential diagnostic kits, including pregnancy and dengue tests. How the kit works? two drops of blood are placed on the strip. Two lines mean venom is detected, one line means no venom. Quick, clear, and avoids unnecessary anti‑venom. Soon, it will reach ASHA workers, primary health centres, and ambulances, bringing life-saving certainty straight to the communities that need it most. #Snakebite #MedicalInnovation #RuralHealthCare [Rapid Snake Venom Test, Snakebite Kit, Rural Healthcare, HealthCare Innovation in India]
