Might be a dumb way of looking at it, but I'm always amazed at market size per lobbying dollar ratios. This one? $6,065 for every $1 spent lobbying ($4.1T mkt size).

I just got off a call with a patient staring down the barrel of 2 hospital bills totaling over $20,000. She lived in Europe for 20 years before moving to the US a couple years ago. Shaking her head, she said, "I don't understand how Americans are just okay with this."
