New start, Idaho: The Gold Run Fire has prompted evacuations in the Big Creek and Elizabeth Park Area of Shoshone county. The fire was last updated at 100 acres and south of I-90. A full resource response is underway, including engines, crews, and helicopters.

Washington/Oregon: The Tule Fire has grown to 24,000 acres in Yakima county, Washington with significant progress being made. The Twin Sisters Fire is now 8,262 acres in Oregon and Washington with 65% containment. The Juniper Dunes Fire in Franklin county Washington is 10,577 acres with 10% containment. The Upriver Fire, a new start outside Spokane, is now 50 acres with significant spotting. 2 VLATS & 4 LATS have been ordered.

Arizona: The Rock Canyon Fire is estimated to be 1,000 acres, burning 18 miles East of Fredonia in Coconino County, Arizona. The fire is visible from Utah this afternoon. Currently 98 degrees with wind gusts up to 30MPH possible. Last night: “Fire activity continued well into the night with short runs and group torching.  Some burnout operations occurred around 2400-0200 to hold the fire on the Winter Road in areas where the fire made a northerly run towards the east end of the fire.  One engine remained on patrol through the night on the winter road.  No major issues were reported from night operations.  Today’s plan: Continue to utilize air assets early and maintain all established lines, utilize the White Sage fire scar and continue work to hold the fire south of the Winter Road.”
