Anyone genuinely interested in good governance should embrace open primaries and ranked choice voting. Otherwise you’re just rooting for a team jersey.

Democrats and Republicans once again agree: there is no such thing as a "fair" redistricting plan. Now can we all agree? It is impossible to make maps "fair" with single-member districts. This is why we need proportional, multimember districts.
WA becomes the second state (along w/ VA) where a state supreme court will take over redistricting after a commission’s deadlock/failure.

"Ranked-choice voting isn’t some liberal reform. Republicans have been using it to select candidates in Utah, Virginia, Indiana and many other localities nationwide, to tremendous success… It makes our elections better, cheaper and fairer." —@ericwilson pilotonline.com/opinion/colu…

Single-member Congressional districts dilute representation for American voters. The #FairRepAct would replace them with larger, more representative, multi-member districts. bit.ly/FairRepVote

#RankedChoiceVoting "is practiced because it gives the voters a louder voice. 🗣️📣 It’s a way to ensure that the candidate that the people most approve of gets the job. This system of voting is used in Ireland, Australia, and a number of American states." bit.ly/3tJX10s

Yesterday #S1, the #ForThePeople Act, was introduced in the U.S. Senate. It lays the groundwork for #RankedChoiceVoting by helping states buy machines that count ranked ballots, and sets up a federal study on RCV’s effects. We're glad these crucial provisions are included! 🙌🥳
