BCC also refused to reveal the cost of the site on North Street acquired from McAleer & Rushe (for Belfast Stories) due to commercial sensitivities.
Seemingly transparency is lacking in their dealings with developers. And to whose benefit?

Disappointing (*but not entirely surprising) response to our FOI request to Belfast City Council.
While we had expected some info to be deemed "commercially sensitive", to have received nothing at all from *45* minuted meetings shows a real lack of accountability & transparency.

The ‘watershed moment’ is that Israeli clubs should be banned by UEFA.
Before anyone claims that’s ’racist’ - the same happened to English clubs in the 1980s.
This began with violence, horrendous chanting and attacks on property.

Utterly devastating scenes from The Netherlands. Hateful mobs have chased down Jewish & Israeli football fans on the streets of Amsterdam after a match, violently beating them and proudly posting the footage on social media. Many are injured and three people are currently missing.
This should be a watershed moment for Europe and for the world, when it realises how severe the scourge of anti-Jewish hatred has become. Sadly, I fear it will not be and that tragically, this will not be the last such attack, God forbid.

This high tech solution to phones in the classroom came in at €13. Has been in operation for 3 years and I estimate that next year and additional €0 will be needed to maintain the service. There was no lobbying from Argos as part of this installation.
