Just chatted w 20 food trucks in HSR Seriously blown w some of their story. Most of them are working in office n managing trucks at night Battle for becoming the spot for folks is becoming an attention game - with so thin margins, regulatory uncertainty for space, staff prob n 100 other things its really hard to be on top of social media game.

Getting from 0 customers to your first few customers is really hard, which is why founders need to leverage every part of their network. One of our stablecoin infra startups in current batch got three separate warm intros to the same customer and got ghosted every time. Most founders would have moved on. Instead, they ended up applying for a job at the company, made it through the interview process, got in front of the decision maker, pitched their product, and won the deal. To me, the lesson learned is that AI makes it easy to build products, but distribution, persistence, and high agency still matter the most. The winners won't be founders who can vibe code an app over a weekend. Its the ones who find ways to get customers and make things happen when everyone else gives up.

not a hot take: but I’m 1000% convinced that in 2026, the best chain to build a new product or ai agent on is @solana

Recently someone asked me if I were to do a software startup today, what would it be about? My immediate reaction was that I probably wouldn’t do a software startup at all. Instead, I’ll perhaps choose an idea with heavy operational buildup that cannot be replicated easily.

most surprising thing about tokens rn - marketing ppl use them more than tech teams w zero engineer dependency they r testing top of funnel channels that devs would've debated for weeks lol gtm iteration speed is actually insane when you strip out the tech bottleneck

Keith Rabois (@rabois) was COO of Square, part of the PayPal Mafia, an early investor in Stripe, Palantir, Airbnb, DoorDash, and Ramp, and a 2x founder. He's spent 25 years obsessing over how to build world-class teams. In our in-depth conversation, we discuss: 🔸 How to identify undiscovered talent 🔸 Keith's barrels vs. ammunition hiring framework 🔸 The three traits of the best-performing companies right now 🔸 Why talking to customers is actively harmful for consumer products 🔸 Why the PM role is dying 🔸 The specific interview question he asks every senior candidate 🔸 Why CMOs (not engineers) are becoming the #1 consumer of AI tokens Watch now 👇 youtu.be/xCd9ykretlg
