Note to America: The World is a necessary component of a World Cup
Some World Cup players and team staff are being questioned or barred from entering the U.S., angering fans and heightening concerns about how immigration enforcement will be carried out during one of the world’s most international sporting events. wapo.st/4oiZiOc

There’s a cognitive dissonance in watching a leader be punished for empathy. An act of terror that was beyond anyone’s control is being retrofitted into a leadership failure…because uncertainty is uncomfortable & blame feels easier. #Bondi #anthonyalbanese

Leadership isn’t omniscience. Its presence, clarity & refusing to inflame grief. In that respect, @AlboMP is showing up & somehow being blamed for showing up.

To the doctors, nurses and medical staff across Sydney, thank you. After Bondi, you've been caring for those injured, comforting families and saving lives. In the darkest moments, your strength and compassion have shone through. Australia is deeply grateful.

We must remember that you can mourn the loss of innocent lives at #Bondi at the same time as expressing outrage at #Israel #genocide in #Gaza. Don't be cowered. Stand firm against those who are seeking to close down criticism of Israel

Ahmed al Ahmed, a Muslim father of two, risked his life to disarm a murderer who was shooting down Jews celebrating Hanukkah in Sydney. Religion must not divide our common humanity. We must stand together and end antisemitism, Islamophobia and all hate — no exceptions.

One day we will look back at the #MelbourneCup  and wonder why as a society we allowed glorious horses to be mistreated, exploited & abused just so we could gamble & get drunk. There’s no entertainment to be had in the suffering of animals. They deserve dignity & safety like us

The reason it doesn't matter that Peter Dutton is a property mogul but it does matter that Albo is buying a beach house is that only one of them has a political brand of caring about social equity.

What Peter Stefanovic failed to bother to “investigate” about Keegan Payne over his desire to humiliate him on live TV. Keegan was apparently 15 when this happened. No criminal charges were laid. He did free weekend work for his boss to repay the debt. Is now offering to repay him the damage from his million dollar winnings. This is a great example of good parenting and a boss who understood a better way to teach a young lad consequences. I think the proof is in the pudding -Keegan is clearly a fine young man.

Can someone enlighten me, why can't DV offenders be made to wear ankle trackers and the victim have an App, so it goes off if the offender is a Kilometer away, giving the victim time to get away and report to police? What is wrong with that scenario?

The deadshits on here trying to imply the Bondi Junction murderer was a Muslim is Australia's terrified racism at its worst. It's fucking pathetic. Why's it so hard to believe an Australian male would murder a bunch of women? It's happened 27 times this year already.
