The organic growth of this has been wild to see
We recently shipped our 500th Project Beyondex mod kit. This milestone is proof of the passion and dedication that defines the PCVR and hardware modding communities. Keeps striving for more immersion! Even when the big tech companies try to ignore you!

This is the real deal. I got it working in my Unity editor yesterday. Still needs a lot of work but it’s the start of something great
To make things simpler, I've uploaded binaries - The runtime (signed but not notarized), like the OVRService.exe - The compagnon, like the Meta Link App - The simulator to test without an headset - The Quest player (APK) github.com/demonixis/OpenXR-… Have fun doing VR on MacOS

We’re doing a mini Product Hunt launch today for Table Space @boxtree_inc as part of the Pitch by Deel regional finals event in NYC. We never really had a proper “launch” for Table Space given we’ve just been building in public and shipping new releases every week since we started the company, so this is diffferent. Appreciate your support! Tomorrow, back to building. producthunt.com/products/tab…

I fully switched back to Chrome for a week to try this out. Chrome's vertical tabs look nice but it doesn't have any of the tab management features from Dia that make it so much better. I am now fully back to @diabrowser
Today, we’re rolling out two new productivity features in Chrome. With vertical tabs, you’ll now have the option to move your tabs to the side of your browser window by selecting “Show Tabs Vertically.” We’re also introducing immersive reading mode, a new full-page interface for deep focus.

This is what I was hoping AI would do for humanity, removing unnecessary screens in our life. Need to order an uber, grab lunch with your friend, check your bank account? Write it down and drop it in the box.
Should have grocery ordering live on the screenless phone soon. I’m going to improve its capabilities as much as I can through throughout the year.

I’m finding this to be more true everyday
turns out the "bicycle of the mind" was more like a wheelchair for the mind... and now we're going to need treadmills for the mind.

Tomorrow I'm giving a talk at the Silicon Valley VR Meetup about Project Beyondex. I'm going to bring a couple of Beyondex kits with me. If you have a Beyond and want to do the mod, I'll give you a special deal and help you install the mod after my talk.

This is a historical moment in VR development for developers and users. Meta's VR tests of Horizon Worlds is coming to and end. 3rd party applications are now the primary content shown to users. I welcome this change and look forward this new future!
📣 Today I’m excited to share an IMPORTANT update on where we’re headed with VR & Worlds. Over the past year, we’ve listened to feedback from developers and creators. One thing was clear: both communities needed more focus and clearer direction. Starting in 2026, VR & Worlds will operate as two distinct platforms: - VR is focused on third-party developers, with the Meta Horizon Store restructured around apps and games instead of Worlds. - Worlds is going mobile-first, with dedicated tools to build for mobile. We remain the largest investor in VR, and we’re building both platforms to support the long term success of our creator and developer communities. 📌 Read the full details in Samantha Ryan’s post developers.meta.com/horizon/…

First-week album performance becoming a tradable event is BAD news for everyone. “Fans” will be financially exposed to outcomes, and if they lose—and many will lose—the artists will become the targets. This will also lead to massive fraud. All around a pretty awful situation…
