Some have said physicians responding to 911 calls "makes no difference." Here's what the rest of the world calls it: the standard of care.

Prehospital blood capability is the way to go! Fortunate that our @ornge paramedics also have that capability to treat our trauma patients here in Ontario.
If Chase Lancaster had been flown to the Shock Trauma Center at the University of Maryland Medical Center just a few years earlier, he likely would not have survived the trip. In part two of his story, see how advances in trauma care kept him alive as he lost 40 liters of blood.

Its been a pleasure working alongside @ATACCGroup and partner agencies for the past few weeks during these exercises. It is vital we understand each others capabilities and priorities in order to help our patients should the inevitable happen.
Over the last few weeks, The ATACC Group has been privileged to support a number of Counter Terrorism exercises delivered across the North West alongside our emergency service partners. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to the Police, Fire and Rescue, and Ambulance Services for inviting us to assist exercise planners in facilitating casualty management during several training scenarios. These exercises play a vital role in strengthening multi-agency interoperability, testing systems and processes, and ensuring that responders are prepared to deliver effective casualty care in challenging environments. We would also like to thank the ATACC faculty members who volunteered their time to support these events and contribute to the wider learning process throughout the exercises and debriefs. In addition, thank you to the North West pre-hospital critical care charity for supporting us on selected exercise days and for their continued commitment to collaborative training and patient care excellence. Opportunities like these reinforce the importance of partnership working, shared learning, and continued training in preparing for high-threat, high-consequence incidents. Thank you again to everyone involved for their professionalism, dedication, and continued commitment to protecting our communities. #TheATACCGroup #CounterTerrorism #EmergencyServices #Interoperability #PreHospitalCare #MajorIncidentManagement #TacticalMedicine #Training #OrganisationalLearning

This is incredible. A police officer in Chattanooga pulls up and immediately runs into a burning house to save a woman and her children. Heroes walk among us.

Recently, our #volunteer responders have been taking part in multi-agency training alongside partner agencies. Training together ensures each agency knows each other's capabilities for when we meet on an actual incident. #jesip #interoperability #Police #Fire #Ambulance

As the first sustained pre-hospital ECPR program in the U.S., the MMRC ECMO truck enabled on-scene cannulation with efficient needle-stick-to-ECMO flow times, and neurologically favorable survival comparable to matched in-hospital ECPR when low-flow time was similar.
