By continuing on the path of targeted digital regulations, Europe is ignoring the US-EU trade framework put in place by President Trump. European tech firms are benefitting mightily from the ability to compete freely and fairly in US markets, while (at the exact same time) EU leaders/regulators are attacking American tech firms operating in their markets.

When I say I’m serious about cracking down on fraudsters, I mean it. Last month, my office brought action against 60 people for public assistance fraud. We arrested 12 people and administratively sanctioned another 48 for scamming the system out of more than $800K. Mess with Florida taxpayer dollars…pay the consequences.

The federal government printed more than FOUR TRILLION in a two-year period and solved NOTHING.
A trillion dollars could solve virtually every problem. Any problem at all. But instead it’s all just going to Some Guy

Florida Democrats have grown so thoroughly dysfunctional that, for the second election in a row, they have been relegated to recruiting former Republicans as their standard-bearers and now even depending on former Republicans to run their campaigns.

There ain’t much left on the bingo card. Anything additional is likely to carry some state and/or federal charges at this point.
🚨REPORT🚨 @TheMaineWire is reporting Graham Platner's campaign has become aware of information that's going to be leaked soon that is going to be extremely damaging to his campaign. Platner abruptly canceled a campaign event and is rushing home from Washington DC back to Maine. The information that will be dropping is reportedly worse than the Nazi tattoo and worse than having a social media account on "predators paradise." People all over Twitter are speculating as to what could possibly be worse than that. The Platner campaign is collapsing before our eyes.

Not long ago, Angelica suddenly shifted her public opinions. She also got a new YouTube channel full of interviews of CCP stooges. Now she's a full CCP genocide denier. Angelica, I wonder: Do you have a soul? How much did you sell it for? Was that the right price?
Jeremiah, I believed the Uyghur genocide thing during COVID too. And that the CCP is terrible an the Chinese people are all oppressed etc etc. But the year is 2026 and Xinjiang has been open for tourism for years. Adrian Zenz is somehow the most authoritative source. I don’t think he’s even been to Xinjiang. His ideological bias is clear. He works for a group that’s anti communism. Would you like it if the world took the word of a Russian person working at an anti-American organization as the Chief Expert for how terrible America is? Gaza is what a genocide looks like and despite the fact that Gaza is the size of Las Vegas and under Israeli lockdown we have a never ending stream of horrors from there on our timelines. What about Xinjiang, an area 1/6 of China total and crawling with tourists and good internet? Zenz and friends are still waving around those COVID era satellite images. There is a terrible bug with liberalism. By assuming that your values are universal, you assume everybody who disagrees with you must be evil instead of just have different beliefs or priorities or maybe just because they know different things. You stop looking for pragmatic solutions, compromises, diplomacy and mutual understanding. You don’t even try to see the other persons point of view. We’ve met each other. I’ve been on your podcast. I’m just the same Angelica you’ve had beers with in DC and Taipei. Then and now, I’ve always just wanted to make the world a better place. Isn’t it interesting how your instinct isn’t to be curious about why I changed my mind…it is to declare me beyond the pale? Aren’t you at all puzzled that a woman you previously thought so highly of your organization flew me out to DC to attend your conference suddenly decided to be a handmaiden to genocide? No country or system is perfect and I’m no longer a naive believer in one-size-fits all. I hope that somehow you can get some objectivity about the Chinese system. I can’t think of another political party anywhere in the world that is as meritocratic, nor one that has consistently delivered such improvements in life for the last 3-4 decades to its people. Moreover I believe that Xi Jinping actually cares a lot more about the people of China than Donald Trump about ordinary Americans. Just one more thing I want you to think about…I would almost certainly not have the beliefs I have today if not for living in Taiwan, talking to local Taiwanese, listening to their pundits and influencers. Like it or not, the Taiwanese are not all plucky-little China-hating boba-libs. If you really respect Taiwanese voices, you shouldn’t just cherry pick those who agree with you while dismissing everyone else as propaganda.

This was my weekly reminder that soclal media is not reality. The level of attention paid to a dude losing his job on a TV show is just in no way a reflection of the real world issues taking up bandwidth. The only people who really care about this are the people on this platform posting about it.
By firing Scott Pelley, editor-in-chief of CBS News Bari Weiss has single-handedly destroyed the most brilliant investigative newsmagazine in network history, 60 Minutes. Weiss exemplifies everything MAGA is about: ego, incompetence, and blithering idiocy.

I absolutely love it when @JohnMorganESQ tackles the biggest pain in the neck issues real Americans face. Thank you sir - you just earned my vote for whatever the heck you're running for. (if you're not following John Morgan you are not maximizing your platform enjoyment).
Who are these people who think they have the right to save seats?! Easter Mass? First Communion? Graduation? I believe we should have a law that you’re only allowed to save 1, maybe 2 seats for 5 minutes. We need to stop saving seats! Save seats. No more. #JohnIn60secs

I have been made aware that the Florida Policy Institute (@FloridaPolicy)—a group that purports to be “nonpartisan”—takes issue with the Governor’s property tax plan. This group also: ❌ opposed Florida’s historic school-choice legislation ❌ opposed Florida’s first-in-the-nation restrictions on gender-reassignment surgeries and hormone treatments for minors ❌ advocated that Florida expand its Medicaid program to cover working-age, able-bodied adults As with those important issues, they are on the wrong side of history when it comes to property taxes. We are over the target.

Miami-Dade: Residential homesteaded property tax is about ~$0.88 billion — just 6.9% of the $12.9 billion FY 2025‑26 budge. Removing it entirely leaves 12BB to spend: Miami-Dade last operated at less than 12BB in FY ‘23‑24. So you could eliminate completely and still operate at recent levels at 100% capacity.
Florida Association of Counties out analysis of DeSantis prop tax proposal: "The concerns are serious" the group says in an alert. Says year 1 w 150k exemption would cost counties $3.6B - year 2 w 250k exemption the cost would be $6.4B (This does not inc cities or schools)

Cheating on a test will get you detention, but cheating the taxpayers will get you time behind bars. Today I announced that my investigators arrested Tamesha Smith and Amanda Tyson for allegedly defrauding Florida’s school choice scholarship program. We will not allow criminals to use these programs like a personal piggy bank at the expense of hardworking students. See ya in court.

The way this headline is written you'd never know that Mamdani is shortchanging NYC pension funds by $15 billion over the next 8 years so he can spend it on stupid stuff during his term(s) & this will create a $24 billion pension deficit for the next Mayor when they take office
New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani’s plan to extend the timetable to pay off the city’s pension debt will free up money in the near term to close a yawning budget deficit bloomberg.com/news/articles/…

This is the issue - as migration accelerated, and housing prices went through the roof, local governments got windfalls from home sales and new tax valuations. That ratcheting effect over 10 years has led to a place where local government revenues have skyrocketed, and any incentive to be mindful with tax dollars went out the window. Thank you @GovGoneWild for your continued efforts to expose this.
Orange County government wasteful and excessive spending by the numbers: 2025=$190M 2026=$300M Total over 6 years: $747M It’s clear and obvious that they will not stop spending recklessly unless taxpayers rise up and constitutionally stop them. It’s time for property tax reform.
