Okay, my co-founders might not win any Oscars. Yet we created OORB Studio, an agentic platform for anyone to build, simulate, and deploy robots from the cloud (with project-wide context coming soon!) try the public beta now → oorb.io

Accelerate or perish
If you don't work at Anthropic, you already are in the underclass, but you have roughly 2.5 years before this status becomes permanent. One way to escape that fate is to join Anthropic. Another is to accelerate open source AI. Which way, anon?

the model wasn't ass after all, but the conditions around the usage are something else ...
Replying to @steph_palazzolo
hmmm I wonder if the "neutered" version is soft launching the model being ass

it is the first publicly available model that i am explicitly not allowed to use for my work, because anthropic holds the view that the work i do to facilitate open model research is harmful. capability and alignment research are coupled. anthropic wants to be the only lab.

When is this guy ever not cooking ?
When I spoke out against the Gaza genocide, a bunch of midwit VCs ganged up on me both in public and tried to hurt me in private too. Many of those who stood by me were also VCs. Just the better ones. Both morally, and in return profile. The best way to avoid sociopaths is to have them self select out of your life by standing for your beliefs.

One time an associate from a VC asked to share our screen and show him the "agentic code" , mf was about to code review us 😂
I was once pitching in a board room at a top 3 VC firm for a $15M Series A. 12 people in the meeting. One of the GPs fully fell asleep. Out cold for 30 minutes. Nobody acknowledged it. Everyone just kept going. I kept presenting my Series A slides to an unconscious man in a Herman Miller chair and somehow that was considered normal. That's venture capital. You might fly across the country to perform for people who may or may not be conscious. It's a dance. And sometimes you lead and sometimes you follow and sometimes your partner is unconscious. If you're raising right now, just know: every founder has a story like this. The process is weird. The power dynamic is weird. You're not crazy for thinking it's weird. No one talks about it because they want to continue raising. But I'm happy to stick my neck out there. It is weird.

this is exactly how one should operate, always remember what they did
Anthropic’s last round was apparently a bloodbath behind the scenes. A GP at a prominent fund had dinner with Dario three times before their allocation was slashed to zero. At least four other tier-one funds got pulled at the last minute. Their crime? Passing on the Series B, the hardest round Dario ever had to raise (led by Spark). In venture conviction is all that counts.
