Over a decade ago, @ProfCoe & other researchers at the Sutton Trust authored "What Makes Great Teaching?" Review of the underpinning research (2014). In this influential review, the authors identified several ‘poor proxies’ for learning; these are indicators that may lead observers to assume learning is taking place, but in actuality may not be related to learning. The idea of poor proxies can also be applied to feedback. Some well-intentioned feedback practices may look good to students, parents or observers, but they do little to actually improve learning. I do not say this lightly, but I think there is evil intent behind the assisted suicide bill. I hope and pray that the heartless acts of its supporters will lead to its ultimate defeat.

BREAKING NEWS! This September we are launching #TeamTasking. Every half term @AlexHorne will set a task for groups of children to attempt in large teams. It will be perfect for competing in houses, form groups, across year groups and phases or in sporting or social clubs.

Have to say this is a great bit of news- Peter is an insightful and wise person with a real heart for education. Excellent call by @alexeastonND and have every faith Peter will represent the constituency well.
