Israel has once again targeted Dahye in arguably one of the busiest intersections during the day. The streets are full of people.

The UAE is releasing billions of dollars to Iran as part of a deal to reduce bilateral tensions and assist with reopening the strait. It could be as much as $20 billion. $3 billion has already been delivered, confirming rumors from earlier this week. The move comes after the emirates emerged as the single largest target for Iranian missiles and drones during the war. From confrontation to accommodation. reuters.com/world/middle-eas…

Iran got a hard kill on 14 radars, at least 4 aerial tankers and an E-3 on the first day or so with big salvos. It recently bagged more radars; at least one in Bahrain and another in Kuwait. It has fired more SRBMs and MRBMs than the Pentagon told Congress were in the Chinese arsenal. The CEPs of these missiles were closer to 5m than 20m, smaller than those assumed by Anderson and Press (2025) or @ka_grieco et al (2024) for China (20m). Iran is a great missile power and it showed.
🎯 "China’s military technology is miles ahead of anything that Iran possesses, and China can use these forces to great effect in East Asia in ways that make any lesson learned in the Middle East irrelevant. Overconfidence against China based on experience in Iran could lead to catastrophic misplanning that would expose U.S. forces to unnecessary risks." foreignpolicy.com/2026/06/12…

Applebaum’s “liberal language:”
Applebaum: What binds Russia, China, Iran and North Korea is not religion or ideology. China is communist, Russia nationalist, Iran theocratic. What binds them is fear of liberal language: rights, rule of law, separation of powers and independent courts. 1/

I don’t understand people attacking Araghchi. a) he’s neither the president nor the supreme leader. Araghchi doesn’t make the final decisions. b) but he’s also shown to be a brilliant strategist so far, what makes you believe he’s now suddenly gotten stupid or is selling out? c) Iran knows very well that any deal/MoU with the US won’t last 3 days before Israel makes sure it’s violated. But that will put the blame on the US, and raise the pressure and desire within the US to restraint Israel. The goal is to keep exposing the toxic, abusive relationship between the US and Israel, and how detrimental it has become to US interests.
Replying to @AmirAminiMD
I’d rather read Pahlavist posts right now than read posts from people who are literally attacking Araghchi for reaching an agreement!

🚨As you watch World Cup matches in packed stadiums, remember that Israel turned Gaza’s football fields into detention camps—sites of abuse, rape, torture, and field executions. The game continues. Gaza’s genocide does too. #FIFAcom

This is exactly the nightmare scenario many of us feared. #Ebola cases and deaths in a displacement camp create ideal conditions for transmission: overcrowding, population movement, limited healthcare access, and insecurity that hinders outbreak response. This underscores the urgent need for sustained support for surveillance, clinical care, laboratories, and frontline responders in eastern DRC.
Two Ebola-related deaths have been confirmed in a displacement camp in eastern Congo, the U.N. refugee agency said, with aid workers warning the risk of the disease spreading quickly in crowded refugee sites was high and worrying. reut.rs/4eE1A7b reut.rs/4eE1A7b

This is a disgusting interview. Our money hungry tech overlords create systems that make it possible to kill at unprecedented speed & scale and then shift blame to “users” for making “mistakes” when they use those systems to do exactly what they were designed to do
The worst part is him saying the strike on the elementary school in Minab (that killed 168 schoolchildren and teachers) "is a use case that doesn't even violate our red lines."
