My favourite Hollywood action film. A tour de force of craftsmanship, and thrills. Spielberg IMO has never accomplished more than this film.

Would have been pretty funny if at the end of NTTD the explosions happen and the dust settles to reveal Pierce Brosnan who looks into the camera and says “oh hello”

The best and nothing comes close to it. Best Fleming Bond, best balance of Bond humour and escapism with gritty spy Bond, best Bond villain and a top 3 best Bond score from Michael Kamen

If Marathon Man was made in 1986, who would you cast in the 3 main roles?

A grewt score to one if mu top five favourites of the 2010s. Quite honestly it may well be the perfect score due to its many movements and beats, from the skewered Dream Collapsing, to the tension packed Mombasa chase… culminating with the emotional finale. A masterpiece.

But Broccoli politely declined, reportedly telling Spielberg he didn’t have enough experience at the time or wasn’t the right fit. Spielberg complained to his friend George Lucas, who then pitched him the idea that became Raiders of the Lost Ark as a kind of American-style Bond adventure.
