This speaks to every part of my teaching pedagogy and our classroom community. I love this, so much.
We’re teaching kids how to be robots and fall into place in society. Every child should be taught according to what they are passionate about, and pushed in that direction. If we started from here the world would be a better place, a tree can’t bend when it’s fully grown.

You could make an argument about how important grades are to high-schoolers; but in elementary school, does a kid really need to see an A, B, or C on a report card to figure out how they ought to position themselves in relation to others their age? #OntEd

This is how REAL change happens. When we have the courage to question aspects of our society to their core. Education is a white-central colonial structure. Perhaps it’s time to question our public education systems to their core.
