Crazy scenes when the Western Reef Heron lazily flew past us all about 30m away, leaving us standing there opened mouthed in amazement. Did so when the rising tide pushed it out of the small bay by the houses.

Morning all, it was a successful trip to Wareham on Saturday to see the famous Bluethroat! I couldn't hang around long as there was quite the queue on this narrow dirt road to see the bird! So very happy to get a few shots off to record the occasion. What a bonny little bird!

Downy jumping spider portrait from today 🙂 A 50 image handheld stack at 5 times magnification. It’s a tiny spider but I like how you can see the sky reflected in its eyes (because no flash just natural light).
