The cheapest coffee they can find, set on fire, served by baristas who just push a button, and served in a paper cup. No thank you. That’s not an experience, that’s self inflicted torture for $9
Starbucks CEO defends a cup of coffee costing $9 He says the customers needs to just not think about it as a $9 cup of coffee, you’re paying for the ā€œexperienceā€ of getting a Starbucks coffee ā€œIn some cases a $9 experience does feel like you're splurging, and then what that means is we have to make it worthwhile.ā€ He says Starbucks customers ā€œwant to have a special experience and regardless of what your income level is, in some cases, a $9 experience does feel like you're splurging — well, this is a really affordable premium experienceā€ How out of touch could a person possibly be…

After this year, I am protesting buying tabs for my car in #Washington. 50% increase over last year. I will not. I voted for $35 tabs. We ā€œhaveā€ $35 tabs. Crooks and lying thieves this government is.

Baby murderers should receive the death penalty
🚨 HOLY CRAP. A DEVASTATING line of questioning from Rep. Brandon Gill totally exposes abortionists for who they are GILL: What's your favorite type of abortion? LIB: I don't have one GILL: Suction abortion. This is when the cervix is dilated, and a strong suction, 29 times the power of a household vacuum cleaner, tears the baby's body apart and sucks it through the hose into a container. "Do you prefer THAT METHOD?" LIB: I stand by my former testimony. GILL: That sounds kind of gross, doesn't it? Sounds pretty gruesome. Do you agree? This one is called dilation and curettage. After dilation of the cervix, a sharp looped knife is inserted into the uterus. You prefer that method? LIB, PANICS: What I believe we are here to talk about today is the FACE Act! We are not here to talk about the legality of abortion. GILL: You're a pro-abortion advocate. I'm asking if you prefer the dilation and curettage method. You don't you don't want to talk about abortion itself. Why is that? "Forceps are inserted into the uterus, grabbing and twisting the baby's body to dismember him or her. If the head is too large, it must be crushed in order to remove it. Do you prefer that method?" LIB: "I would prefer to talk about the reason the hearing was called and the basis of my expert testimony." GILL: "The baby's skin is burned off. The baby ingests the solution and dies of salt poisoning, dehydration, and hemorrhaging of the brain. Do you prefer that method?" "It's uncomfortable to hear this, isn't it? It is." "How about this one? It's called the saline injection. It's when a 20% salt solution is injected through the mother's abdomen into the baby's amniotic fluid." LIB: I would prefer to talk about the subject of the hearing. GILL: This is the subject of the hearing. This is about protests outside of abortion clinics. I'm asking you about abortion. LIB: I stand by my prior testimony. GILL: I wouldn't want to talk about this either if I were you because it is barbaric and evil. šŸ«³šŸ»šŸŽ¤

There's never any appeasement possible with these lunatics. Whatever concession or apology you offer, there's always another round of demands coming. The sooner you learn to say no to these people the better.

eBay too. I bought a PC part at $80 on Amazon. Wanted to buy another 1 week later. The price doubled on Amazon AND eBay. I found one seller on Amazon where the price didn’t jump. Came back the next day and all the prices returned to ~$80 on Amazon and eBay

Reminds me of my time in Nairobi. California is a third world country
🚨BREAKING: A third of the California capital just went dark for no reason in an unexpected power outage. Massive swaths of downtown Sacramento have no power. No storms, no weather events, just flickering lights then everything went dark. Welcome to Gavin Newsom’s Utopia.

I always knew fraud was involved when a politician wrote a book. But now I understand how they do it to get the money
🚨 HOLY CRAP! Gavin Newsom has just been caught spending $1.5 MILLION of his OWN PAC money to buy his OWN book, artificially boosting sales He then USED those sales to ask for donations 🤔 A whopping TWO THIRDS of his book sales came from himself You can't make this crap up 😭

I have a little sympathy frustration for rich people who buy up property in your town and leave it vacant. Some dude did that to the mall in our town. It was a ghost town bc no one could afford to put a business there. That changed when a local bought it
🚨 UPDATE: Ugandan Mayor Mamdani drops MASSIVE ad encouraging people to move all their stuff to Florida instead of NYC He just created a new tax! "Today, we're taxing the rich." "I am THRILLED to announce an annual fee on luxury properties worth $5M whose owners don't live in the city." 🤔

My answer isn’t ā€œtax the richā€. But I do have a distaste for rich outsiders who treat our land as an asset to abuse, not let the townspeople use

This makes me miss OWWaaS - Owen Wilson Wow as a Service
Someone built an API whose only job is to say no. You send it a request. It sends back a rejection. That's the entire product. It's called No-as-a-Service. NaaS. 1,000 rejection reasons. All curated. All devastating. Here's what it returns: - "This feels like something Future Me would yell at Present Me for agreeing to." - "I only function on coffee and denial, and I'm out of coffee." - "If I agree, I’d need to clone myself. And I don’t trust him." - "I have a personal policy of saying no on days ending in 'y'." Need to reject a meeting? NaaS. Need to decline a date? NaaS. Need to say no to your boss without getting fired? Believe it or not, also NaaS. Here's the wildest part: Developers loved it so much they built an entire ecosystem around it. - A Slack bot that responds with /no in team channels - A Signal bot for automated rejections - An iOS app on the App Store called "Nope App" - An Android app that gives you excuses on demand - A Raycast extension so you can reject things from your launcher - An MCP plugin so your AI assistant says no for you 6,500 developers starred a joke. 408 people forked it to build their own ways to say no. The license reads: "MIT -- do whatever, just don't say yes when you should say no." The most honest software ever written. Its only job is to say no. And it does it beautifully. 100% Open Source. Maybe I’m callous now, but I’m not outraged by the blasphemy Trump posted today. I have such a low view on politicians that I just expect them to do bad things like this and I’m not surprised when it happens

@WWUTTcom can you help me understand your stance on 2 Cor 2:17 in light of your recent comments on the podcast about Joel peddling the Word? It seems to me you believe peddling is fine, so long as the teaching is good (1/2)

2 Corinthians 2:17 For we are not like so many others, who peddle the word of God. On the contrary, in Christ we speak before God with sincerity, as men sent from God. (2/2) Isn’t it worse to peddle what is priceless vs something worthless?

Returning to family shouldn’t conclude with women having kids and leaving them to simultaneously pursue work. Children need mom at home, if that is possible to achieve in the household. And husbands should step up to make that a reality
🚨 BOOM! Gen Z women are DITCHING the ā€œgirlbossā€ lie and going FULL tradwife, putting FAMILY and real life first again!

Many years ago the value add for systemd was faster boot times. But recently, I see systemd OSes on the desktop boot noticeably slower than #OpenRC. This has been my experience with CachyOS vs Artix Linux so far

On Linux we often talk about making the experience easier but there is something to be said computing actually involving some level of friction. Not to say we should revert back to the 90's however it should probably be more complicated than a microwave
No lies detected. It's actually insane how smartphones effectively ruined computer literacy for younger Gen Z and Alpha.

Tried @ArtixLinux today with @XLibreDev I just don’t see the difference between XLibre and Wayland for gaming. They’re both good. I’m actually very happy with the results on XFCE. Smooth gaming experience

Since popular desktops like KDE Plasma and GNOME took the systemd bait, a lot of people either have to drop the most popular DEs or bow to lock-in and loss of user freedom, as well as impending age verification. It was a slow acting poison
