Very simple. No automatic bids for anyone.
Top 12 teams make it, period. If that happens to include a G5 then good for them, but no more sacrificial lambs.
An ‘04 Utah, ‘09 Boise State, ‘10 TCU, ‘21 Cincy would make the playoffs, and that’s great.
JMU and Tulane would not.

But these G5 teams had no business in the bracket this year. It’s honestly a disservice to the playoff and it needs to be fixed immediately.

Sure but the flaw in your logic is the auto-bid.
Just allow in the top 12 teams, if that happens to include a G6 then good for them.
No one is necessarily excluded but we’re also not automatically allowing in a sacrificial lamb.

My opinion hasn’t changed. If you can’t give 1 spot to the G6 (half of FBS college football), it’s not deciding a true champion, it’s just an invitational
As long as those schools are in the same division, they should have a way to earn a spot

Bryce made some plays but on the last 3 Panthers drives he failed the test.
He didn’t make any critical mistakes but Bryce is so limited and it gives them no margin for error.
Saints won because they have a better HC and a better QB.

Kalen DeBeor was on pace to get a statue in Washington, but got greedy and took a job where going 19-7 in 2 years gets you rightfully fired.
