I continue to be proud of the work @QuincyInst does every day and proud to have stood with @tparsi and many others to create America's first think tank dedicated to ending endless war and realizing the foreign policy Americans deserve, based on diplomatic engagement and military restraint.
I have fought the neocons and warmongers in Washington for more than 25 years. Throughout, they have tried to silence, discredit, slander, and cancel me. Only recently, however, have they tried to deport me. At least, that appears to have been the aim of a hit piece in Bari Weiss’s The Free Press, which claimed that Marco Rubio’s State Department was “investigating” me for allegedly seeking to “undermine the U.S.”—presumably because of my opposition to war with Iran. Yet just hours later, the State Department issued a statement to reporters clarifying that “the State Department has no plans to revoke the green card of Mr. Parsi at this time.” Nor did it provide any confirmation for the central premise of the Free Press story—that an investigation of me existed in the first place. So here’s what I think happened. Read the full piece on my Substack: tritaparsi.substack.com/p/so…

Jay Solomon, who wrote a piece in The Free Press (Bari Weiss's neocon propaganda outlet) aimed at getting Iran War critic @tparsi of @QuincyInst deported for exercising free speech, was fired by the Wall Street Journal for unethical conduct nine years ago.

“good luck deporting an idea whose time has come.” 🎯 “The era of endless war is ending, and no amount of censorship, cancellation, or political intimidation will stop the growing demand for a foreign policy rooted in restraint, diplomacy, and common sense.” 💪🏻

Trump abandoned the Kurds, the Afghans, the Iranians, the Israelis, the Arabs, the Martians, the lost city of Atlantis, and my fragile ego — again. I alone, the philosopher-warrior in an unbuttoned shirt, have been warning the world for years. Decades! Centuries, even.
Trump abandoned the Kurds, the Afghans, the Ukrainians, and the Iranians. Today, he is abandoning the Israelis (and their Arab allies). I have been saying so, and writing so, for years. But I have never been so saddened to be proved right.

People should be ashamed to work at FDD.
Ali Khamenei is gone. Yahya Sinwar is gone. Hassan Nasrallah is gone. Now the most public advocate for the elimination of Israel may be Peter Beinart. We’ll see how Mojtaba Khamenei and Erdogan evolve. For now, Peter is out front. Mazal Tov.

This is barbaric. They were not permitted to explain to the jury why they carried out the attack on the Elbit factory - which makes the weapons that kill Palestinian children. And the jury was never told they would be sentenced as terrorists. /1

The Trump administration has opened an investigation into prominent Iran war critic and frequent BT Live guest Trita Parsi (@tparsi), according to a report in The Free Press, citing US officials and reviewed documents. Parsi, co-founder and executive vice president of the @QuincyInst and co-founder of @NIACouncil, was born in Iran and holds Swedish citizenship. A vocal critic of ongoing US military attacks on Iran, Parsi could face deportation. An unnamed Trump official quoted in the Free Press report confirmed the investigation is connected to State Department efforts to remove “anyone who seeks to undermine the US."

U.S.-Israel war on Iran showed that Iranians will not rise up and overthrow the government while bombs fall on their homes and schools. But once the war ends, the economic, political, and social grievances that existed before the conflict will resurface and must be addressed. I joined Aljazeera to discuss.

Spoke at length with @MarioNawfal just an hour ago about how close we are to a deal, what the remaining obstacles will be - and how little the MOU may mean in the larger scheme of things as the final deal is by no means guaranteed.

Iran struck the #UAE with around 3,000 missiles. #Qatar's LNG exports took a 20% hit that will take 3-5 years to put back online. Now both are moving toward diplomatic and economic accommodation with #Iran. This is exactly what I wrote about in @ForeignPolicy: the Gulf doesn't hedge out of naivety—it hedges out of realism. foreignpolicy.com/2026/05/26…
