By employing developmental principles, we were able to overcome long-standing challenges in the field - 1) inadequate vascularization of gut organoids, 2) ECs and mesenchyme void of organ-features. A major milestone in vascular biology organoid research!

Your lungs make blood too. UCSF scientists just discovered lung stem cells that produce blood, just like bone marrow. This could change how we treat blood and immune disorders. tiny.ucsf.edu/Pwa7qn

Women are naturally less interested in these fields and that’s why they are less active in STEM? That’s total bs. For one, maybe look up the misogyny women in STEM experience - from daily interactions all the way up to the Nobel! education.nationalgeographic…

Amazing to see Dr. @TakebeLab and team's study on 'butt-breating' receive such an incredible accolade and recognition. If you'll like to learn more about anal breathing, I wrote a an article on my blog a couple months back on this - shorturl.at/LS0h9 Please check it out!

Can people really breathe through their butts? Mammals can. So people probably can, too. Congrats to @TakebeLab @CuSTOMOrganoids @CincyChildrens One of 10 winners of a 2024 #IgNobel Prize! Read more: scienceblog.cincinnatichildr… Watch the ceremony: improbable.com/ig/archive/20…
