Unfortunately, I do not have good news. The Severe Weather threat for tomorrow has only trended up. We are staring down a full fledged Tornado Outbreak. I haven't see environmental conditions this favorable to Tornadoes in June in a long time. The National Weather Service Office in Chicago is calling them "literally off the charts" favorable for Tornadoes. The Conditions present tomorrow⬇️ ✅ Extreme Low Level Helicity, likely greater than 500 = Air will be twisting like crazy near the surface, making it stupid easy for Strong Tornadoes to form ✅ Strong Low Level 0-3km Cape = Fast rising motion near the surface ✅ Upper air support (500mb Jet Streak) = Strong Wind shear, meaning the entire Storm will rotate. This will also make Storms move fast, likely racing near 60mph. ✅ Small Temperature to Dewpoint spreads = Low LCL's meaning the clouds will be lower making it much easier for Tornadoes to reach the ground With this type of environment, "Long Track, strong-violent Tornadoes" are also possible according to NWS Chicago. Tomorrow is not a day to take lightly, my brotheren. We may not see a risk like this for a long time. Have a plan in place if you do get a warning - knowing where you'll go and what you'll do. I pray tomorrow Busts. I'll keep watching this like a Hawk 🦅

Illinois remains the top state in the country for tornadoes so far this year and it’s not even close with Mississippi coming in at a distant second. #ilwx In Illinois: Tornado average per year is 54. Tornadoes in 2025: 146 Tornadoes in 2024: 142 Tornadoes in 2023: 136 This is the correct and updated list.

A good day to remember the profound care Disney poured into Atlantis. Let's talk about The Creation of Atlantean. 🌊 To build the world, Disney hired Mark Okrand, the linguist who also created the famous Klingon and Vulcan for the Star Trek series. Okrand created a fully functional, learnable language. He designed it under the narrative premise that Atlantean was a "root dialect" or a "Tower of Babel" language, the ultimate mother tongue from which all human languages evolved. To achieve this ancient, foundational sound, Okrand primarily utilized Proto-Indo-European roots. The actual visual characters (the glyphs) were created by comic book artist Mike Mignola, the creator of Hellboy. Mignola designed the unique script shown on the chart. In the lore of the film, the language is written in a system called 'boustrophedon', meaning it is read from left to right on the first line, right to left on the second line, and continues alternating back and forth, mimicking the movement of an ox plowing a field.
Happy 25th Anniversary To Disney’s Atlantis: The Lost Empire!

That “pollinator seed mix” might be planting a problem. A University of Washington study grew out 19 wildflower seed packets and found something wild: Every single packet contained invasive species. Not one or two bad mixes. All 19. Some had 3 invasive species. Some had 13. Eight contained plants considered noxious weeds in at least one state. A third of the packets didn’t list contents at all. And only 5 accurately listed what was inside. The most common species? Bachelor’s button. Pretty? Sure. But absolutely harmful. It can spread into native grasslands and crowd out the plants local insects actually evolved to use. That’s the trap. People buy “wildflower” mixes because they want to help bees and butterflies. But vague seed packets can introduce aggressive nonnative plants that make the problem worse. Better move: Buy region-specific native seed mixes. Use local native plant nurseries. Check with your state native plant society. Look for packets that list every species by name.

I’m so serious that I think they should use this as an opportunity to send components of the original back to Anaheim and have two shows. Disneyland gets Walt’s Worlds Fair version (1900s-20s-40s-60s) and Disney World gets its Horizons-esque sequel (1960s-80s-2000s-future).
The idea of a totally new animatronic show is pretty hype but the idea of totally scrapping the existing Carousel of Progress is pretty sad, especially on such extremely short notice. Hope they don't do the Disney thing where they scrap the current and then cancel the replacement

#TheMandalorianandGrogu spoilers? Kinda? I feel bad for the Droid Gotra. They just want their independence and to be treated like sentient beings (kind of like the clones). They have to work for the Hutts because the New Republic refuses to work with/pay them. They deserve better

Did they cast Jeremy Allen White for #TheMandalorianandGrogu knowing Rotta would be in Space Chicago or did they put Rotta in Space Chicago because they cast Jeremy Allen White?
