Free Speech has never been Free.
Regardless of the issue, the fleeting sensitivity of the listener trumps the rights of the speaker. How dare one speak one's mind when it offends another's brittle spirit. The listener should not be resilient nor tolerant rather the speaker should be muted and canceled. When it's the listener's turn to speak there will be no one left to listen. Taking away freedom of speech and thought is not done through a chorus of jeers rather through thunderous applause. This is edict of the dystopic totalitarian state. Looking forward to tomorrow’s session with @uasind. Having a basic understanding of the legal system is fundamental for individuals to navigate and engage with their legal rights and responsibilities. The legal system provides a framework for resolving disputes and upholding justice.
Moreover, familiarity with the legal system enables individuals to participate effectively in the democratic process. It allows people to understand the implications of various laws, policies, and regulations, enabling them to engage in informed discussions, advocate for change, and hold authorities accountable.
I expect tomorrow’s class to be educational and a good time. See you in class!!

Tomorrow is Week 4: Judiciary and Legal System in Canada in our Reconnect to Canada Course and @uasind is our guest teacher.
We will examine the structure of Canada’s judiciary, appointment of judges, difference between common law and civil law, spotlight foundational legal concepts like: precedent, mootness (Ben Naoum Case) and ultra vires (Roncarcelli and Ingram Case).

The government knew early on in the mandate process that their decision was ineffectual at stopping the spread of COVID-19 and despite this they continued to cause harm to hundreds of employees, many of which chose to leave the public service or have been terminated and #bcpoli
