@USCG has awarded two task orders totaling over $143M to deliver 30 housing units, a child development center, and a recapitalized water storage tank at Base Kodiak. Leveraging historic investment in the FY25 reconciliation funding, these projects will expand access to quality housing, modern facilities, and essential services for Coast Guard personnel and families.

Today, @USCG announced homeporting locations for three Arctic Security Cutters (ASC) in the State of Alaska. The first two ASCs will be homeported in Kodiak, with a third ASC to be homeported in Seward when the infrastructure is ready. Strategically positioning these state-of-the-art icebreakers in Alaska will maximize our ability to defend our northern border and approaches, while reinforcing America’s maritime dominance in a crucial region of strategic importance. Fueled by $3.5B in FY25 reconciliation funding, the Coast Guard’s acquisition of ASCs continues an historic expansion of our nation’s icebreaker fleet, and underscores the United States’ leadership as a maritime power in the Arctic.

On June 6, 1944, Allied forces launched Operation Overlord—the largest amphibious invasion in history. As part of Operation Neptune, the @USCG played a critical role in landing troops on Omaha Beach, including the famed “Big Red One.”
Today we honor the courage and sacrifice of all who served on D-Day. #DDay#USCoastGuard#OperationNeptune

Outstanding work by @CBPAMO, @USCG, and our international partners.
This week, Air Interdiction Agents located a vessel carrying 240 migrants from Haiti attempting an illegal maritime migration. The overcrowded vessel was taking on water and in danger of sinking.
Our personnel helped prevent what could have been a catastrophic loss of life while stopping yet another illegal migration attempt.
The message remains clear: illegal maritime migration is dangerous, it is not worth the risk, and you will not gain entry into the US.
This week, @FEMA leadership joined @NOAA, @USCG, @MiamiDadeEM, @ReadyBroward & emergency managers in Florida to discuss hurricane readiness as the 2026 season begins. Preparedness is strongest when federal, state & local partners are aligned before, during and after storms. 🤝🤝
