Racism and misogyny have been and will be a hideous aspect of human nature. But only one American political party today celebrates and promotes it loudly and proudly this way. This is what has become central to Trump’s GOP.
“Michelle Obama is a man” shouted on the White House lawn in a ring sponsored by Bud Light only available on Larry Ellison’s Paramount Plus. What a way to celebrate America 250 and the twilight of liberal democracy.

Worth pointing out that this entire event proves no one in the Trump Administration believes that bullshit about needing a ballroom for security.

This is for the folks insisting there was no taxpayer funding used to put on this event.

Values are only as good as what we’re willing to work and fight for. The way we spend our money should also reflect our values. Never supporting Yeti with my money - not ever again.
A co-founder of Austin-based Yeti is among the owners of a West Texas ranch that is cooperating with construction efforts tied to the Trump administration’s planned border wall in the Big Bend region, according to public records obtained by Marfa Public Radio. bit.ly/4giXvqd

Hope the rage about this inspires people to (1) never ride one of these carriages, (2) advocate for reform, and (3) examine all the other arenas where animal abuse happens in plain sight and behind closed doors, where helpless animals are used for entertainment, tests, food, etc.
BREAKING: Undercover footage shows the nightmarish warehouse cells where NYC carriage horses are trapped in deplorable conditions when not in dangerous NYC traffic. These poor animals have a HORRIFIC LIFE of walking the busy streets , in and out of congested traffic in hot and cold temperatures. These horses NEVER touch grass, never graze in pastures and no socialization with other horses . They have NO pasture for grazing and interacting with other horses as herd animals NEED to be healthy and they are denied proper veterinary care. THIS HAS TO STOP. TAKE ACTION BELOW TO END THIS ABUSE. Everyone can call NYC Council Health Committee Chair Lynn Schulman at 718.544.8800 and press 0 to leave a message to ask her to cosponsor and fast- track #RydersLaw Intro 967 to end this criminal horse abuse! NEW YORKERS: please make a quick call or send an email to your own New York City COUNCIL MEMBER urging them to POST sponsor and pass intro 967, #RydersLaw. #CentralPark #BanHorseCarriages #centralparkcarriagerides #nychorses #nyctourism #CentralPark #BanHorseCarriages #NYClass #centralparkcarriagerides #nychorses #nyctourism #RydersLaw 🎦 Credit: Unbridled Heroes.

Shame on New York City for continuing to allow this abuse and cruelty. And shame on those who participate in this abuse.
Tonight, a carriage horse collapsed and died in Central Park. We do not yet know this horse’s name, age, history, or what caused their death — but we do know this: no horse should spend their life pulling a carriage through the streets of Manhattan. We have seen this before. Ryder. Lady. Aisha. Charlie. Smoothie. And now another horse whose life ended on the pavement. This moment demands more than outrage. It demands action. On Thursday, the City Council will reintroduce Ryder’s Law — legislation to finally transition New York City away from horse carriages and retire the horses to sanctuaries. That future will include the workers, too. Carriage drivers deserve a real transition plan with stable jobs, protections, and benefits — and we are ready to work with TWU and all stakeholders to make that happen. But doing nothing is not an option. Another horse is dead on the streets of New York City. For the horses. For the workers. For New York City. Pass Ryder’s Law.

Americans are struggling to pay for food, gas, utilities. Young people’s dreams of homeownership are out of reach. Credit card debt is through the roof. Wages can’t keep up with inflation, which is making working people’s lives harder. Trump’s response? “I love the inflation.”
Q: Are you concerned about the latest inflation numbers that came out this morning? TRUMP: No, I love it. I love the inflation. You know why? Because as soon as this war is over -- do you know we've been taking out millions of barrels of oil? Nobody knows it. You know who doesn't know? Iran until right now.

Congress should pass my PIGS Act to ensure we end this horrific practice nationwide. Urge your member of congress to co-sponsor it!
Mother pigs are severely confined in cages so small that they cannot move. Meanwhile, in the United States, the proposed Save Our Bacon act would stop laws that give pigs more space to stand and stretch their limbs. (continued in comments)

Sarah McBride: “Congress’ top bathroom sheriff, Nancy Mace, was on the ballot. And while all of the votes have not yet been counted, she’s in a respectful 5th place. I don’t like to punch down and I believe in the politics of grace, so I’ll just say, Happy Pride, Nancy.”
Ralph Norman hovering between 3rd and 4th but Mace still solidly in 5th with almost a quarter of the vote now in. It’s looking like another bad night for House members seeking higher office

Split screen: Cruz criticizes Talarico for not being “masculine” enough. Same day we get a deeply investigated report on MAGA “manosphere” heroes, the Tate brothers, who coerced, trafficked and raped women & girls, criminals the Trump admin gave cover to. x.com/newyorker/status/20641…

Ted Cruz on Talarico: "If you were making a list of 1,000 adjectives to describe this guy, 'masculine' would not be one of them. I mean, if a stiff breeze came by it would blow him over like a feather."

BREAKING: Ken Paxton’s own lawyer just endorsed James Talarico: “I defended Ken Paxton for years in the impeachment trial and in state criminal cases. But in my view, I think Ken has lost sight of his core mission, which is to represent the people of Texas.  And unlike Ken, I believe that you, James, believe in unity over division and that you know how to assemble not only Democrats but Independents and Republicans and we need that right now.  We need unity, we don't need any more division and that's why I'm supporting you.”

Incredible investigative report - horrifying and disturbing. Included are a number of links to the conservative “manosphere” - including within the highest ranks of MAGA men.
For the past 9 months, I've been investigating Andrew Tate's empire of sexual exploitation — drawing on thousands of private messages and sealed court files, as well as interviews with the Tates, their associates & more than a dozen alleged victims. Here's what I found: newyorker.com/magazine/2026/…

Agree! How about we also get predators out of the White House?
We are trying to get predators out of Congress. Not bring more in. No one has put their political career more on the line, taking on both parties, to stand against sexual misconduct and abuse. The allegations against Graham Platner are serious and disgusting. We don't know how anyone looks at all of it and decides winning a seat is more important.

Some Democrats are defending Graham Platner. I did not and will not. But republicans will defend a man who has refused to release the Epstein files and who was found liable for sexual assault. They’ll beg for his endorsement. And when they don’t get it…they’ll beg some more.
The Democrats are disgusting. They’re willing to defend a psychopath like Graham Platner just so they can win a Senate seat. Women and children are just a means to an end with them. Otherwise their abuse means nothing to them.

“We were on a friend’s boat and we stopped for a swim. Effectively, that’s how we found it.” They “found” an island to colonize and own. While her father and Republicans take away Americans’ healthcare, nutrition programs, reward the rich and start wars.

This corruption is called “pay to play.” In normal society, people would go to jail for this. In Trump world, they get rewarded. And all this while people can’t afford their utility bills, groceries and gas.
More than half of the publicly identified donors to President Trump’s White House ballroom project have won new or expanded federal contracts worth more than $50 billion, according to a report from a government watchdog group. wapo.st/4o9GMHL

We shouldn’t just care about factory farming because of the cruelty to helpless animals. We should also care because of what it does to our water and public health.
NEW: Cancer rates in Iowa are rising faster than anywhere else in the country. Politicians blame individual choices, but the real villain is the industrial farming covering the state. We went, tested the water, and found cancer causing levels of chemicals running through Iowa.

Do you get it yet? All the billionaires have private islands, compounds, bunkers and escape plans. Do you really think they intend to stay here and live with the consequences of the policies they are supporting for another country? Do you think they’ll be the ones struggling with medical bills, inflation, or sending their children off to war? The people with the most power have the easiest exits once America is entirely gutted.

Trump promised a golden age for America. He meant for him. The persistent, unbridled corruption…he’s getting richer while Americans at bottom 2/3 are struggling and many getting poorer. Will **any** republicans join us to hold him accountable?
