Transportation planning is a geometry puzzle. You only have so much space to work with, and the goal (I hope!) is to give people practical options for getting around.

Tallinnas linnavalitsus võiks ka rattasõidu positiivseid aspekte välja tuua vs autojuhtide kiusamine? Sõidan rattaga iga päev aastaringselt 8a, pole Covidist saadik haige olnud.

#Tallinn says there is no need to build bike lanes, turned down 40M EU funding for building new tram lines and gives priority to cars. Photo of pavement/bike lane this week from the biggest bridge we have. Sad. Very sad 😢

Looking forward to see first practical initiatives that empower our people and entrepreneurs to grow economy!
Today we launched Estonia’s most impactful AI initiative for the decade ahead. We’re turning bold ideas into real solutions — not replacing people with AI, but empowering them with it. This could lift our economy by up to 50% over the next 10 years. Estonia’s aim is to become the world’s AI hub, where government and businesses build the future together. Does your kid walk/cycle to school or would you need to drive them? Why?
As our kids go #BackToSchool, never forget that we ARE the traffic that we’re afraid of. If more kids walked, biked or rode transit to school, it would erase a massive number of car trips each day, and our kids would be safer, healthier and better at school. Spread the word.

Cities for people! 💚
🌳 Paris just transformed one of its most iconic squares: Place de l’Hôtel de Ville. Once a vast stone esplanade, it’s now an urban forest. Inaugurated on June 21, 2025, this project is reshaping how the city tackles climate, space, and livability. 🌍

Tallinnas ehitatakse Kadaka puiestee silda enam kui aasta? Töövälisel ajal objektil 0 inimest, sest "aega ju on" küll kohalikud inimesed saavad aasta või enam ringi ka sõita, kelle mure see ikka on?

Netherlands is doing some interesting urban pilots. Should owning and driving a car be human right... when its 6 times more expensive (and polluting) to society than cycling? sciencedaily.com/releases/20…

Estonia is in top (or bottom?) of this list? Is it actually good or bad sign? I think taking a walk or going to sauna (with friends?) could help... to some extent?
