👮‍♂️Capacity Building Forum for Njoro Sub-County Police Officers👮‍♀️ Over the weekend, police officers from various stations and posts in Njoro Sub-County gathered at AIC Church, Njoro Town to enhance their knowledge on human rights and non-violent approaches to conflict resolution, in collaboration with police oversight bodies. 🚨Discussions highlighted the hidden pressures officers face ranging from family affairs, debt, relationships, gambling, power and promotion among others and how these challenges affect their service delivery. 🤝@IPOA_KE engagement with the officers revealed the realities officers encounter during demonstrations and the need to assess mental health before assigning a firearm. There was consensus that building stronger relationships between police and the public is integral in fostering trust. @InteriorKE @NPSOfficial_KE @NPSC_KE @tendasasa @denmarkinkenya

When a "presidential" candidate takes one hour live on air telling one community how they are hated, targetted and discriminated against what do you call that if NOT tribalism? In one hour live interview in Kikuyu language, no mention of how he will change the economy, poverty levels, eliminate Jiggers , promote boychild and eradicate drugs, improve Trade and cash crops or promote health . What kind of a leader is this? A tribalist ! Mlima is diving in to deep HOLE lead by a blind chauvinistic fellow full of self entitlement. Call me names but this is a fact .

On Dec 30, 2007, Mwai Kibaki (PNU) was declared winner over Raila Odinga (ODM) by ~232,000 votes amid rigging claims. He was swiftly sworn in that evening at State House by his tribe man Chief Justice Evan Gicheru. Justice Minister Martha Karua, Kibaki’s key supporter and election agent, defended the results and rushed inauguration. The disputed outcome sparked immediate protests and the 2007–08 post-election violence. Old Martha Karua remains a threat to our nation & must keep off the upcoming elections. #DidmusBarasaGov27 #DAY6_BEHIND #DAY6

This old man is dispensing WISDOM carelessly! He's WISER than 1,000 Gen Zs combined! Gen Zs are the DUMBEST people who can't think beyond X likes and reposts! A high-containment isolation facility means Kenya stops waiting for outbreaks to reach our hospitals before we ACT. It means Ebola, or the next unknown pathogen, meets a sealed wall in Laikipia, not an overwhelmed ward in Nairobi. This is how serious nations protect citizens. The US, Germany, and South Korea all host these facilities for a reason. Kenya already signed the framework for it in 2015 under James Macharia and renewed it in 2022 under Mutahi Kagwe. The legal authority exists. The global threat exists. The only question is whether our preparation exists. With this facility, Kenyan doctors train on the deadliest pathogens without leaving home, building expertise Africa can export. With this facility, our labs detect faster, respond faster, and contain faster before a village outbreak becomes a national crisis. With this facility, we control the protocols. We hold the keys. We audit the data. Zero-release waste systems and continuous environmental monitoring protect our soil, water, and air better than fear ever could. Regional leadership is not declared. It is demonstrated when Kenya becomes the country others call for help, not the one asking. This is not about importing disease. It is about importing capacity, discipline, and the global standard of biosecurity. A nation that prepares in calm does not beg in crisis.

Students must understand that there are consequences when they set other human beings on fire. When I visited Naivasha maximum prison I met the only suspect sentenced to death for the May 24, 1999 arson attack in Nyeri High School that claimed the lives of four prefects. The student was 33 years old or thereabout when I met him. He was convicted by a juvenile court and later committed to life imprisonment after he turned 18. The 2001 Kyanguli fire tragedy claimed the lives of 67 students. Two 16-year-olds were arrested and charged with murder. The judge handling the matter resigned in 2006 amid corruption-related allegations. A new judge declared the court matter a mistrial. I took my time with the file, and it was clear that someone had done everything to make sure the two boys escaped justice. I tracked one down to an office in the CBD. He is somewhere out here. The July 13, 1991, St Kizito High School massacre remains the most disturbing and heart-wrenching story I have covered. The boys stormed the girls' dormitory. Reason? They had refused to join them in a strike. In the ensuing violence, 71 school girls were raped and 19 of them lost their lives, mostly due to suffocation after being tightly packed into a corner during the attack. Some were arrested and as usual, parents worked the justice system and many escaped the hangman’s noose. But in a dark twist of events, most of the accused “turned mad”, and others ended up as drunks. I remember visiting a lady now in her fifties who was still overwhelmed by the events of that night- oh she cried. I met most of the boys then now men. Drunkards. Wasted. Let’s see how the tragic Utumishi Fire tragedy plays out but if the prosecution proves those arrested are involved, it will be the end of school and freedom. I have been to Nyeri, St Kizito, Kyanguli, Endarasha, and Bombolulu Girls' High School. It's a life-changing experience! No amount of justice or compensation can bring back the lives lost.

For the first time, Prof Anyang' Nyong'o came out to declare which side he's on. When we told you to find a blood pressure machine and keep it on standby, we weren't talking about Arsenal fans only. In 2027, there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.

The Mt Kenya bitter tribalists perpetuating Kikuyu HEGEMONY should watch this video. Wajir was one of the neglected regions in Kenya. See how grateful they are for President Ruto. For average tribalists, Kenya starts in Githurai and ends in Nyeri.

Fellow Kenyans, we are headed in the wrong direction. While we chase the 2027 elections, Super El Niño is building and we are dangerously unprepared. Nairobi, Kisumu, Mombasa, Tana River, Athi River, Narok, Maasai Mara, Western Kenya, and landslide-hit areas are at risk. We must change tact now , let’s fix our riverbanks, clear encroachments, unblock drains, and reinforce bridges before floods and landslides force the change we refused to make. Only then can we go back to dealing with our perennial disease: politics.

CS John Mbadi: Uhuru Kenyatta told us at Masai Lodge, immediately after the election of President William Ruto in 2022, that he left the country in a bad economic state and that it would collapse in less than three months.

Treasury CS @JohnMbadiN continues to demonstrate why communication and policy engagement matter in government. His deep understanding of government policy, articulation of complex economic issues, and ability to engage both stakeholders and the public make him stand out. If more CSs communicated government agenda with the clarity, openness, and confidence Mbadi brings, President @WilliamsRuto 's administration would have a much easier time connecting with wananchi and selling its development vision.
