True, and I hate to say it, but part of the problem has to be all of the SaaS companies out there because slowly companies like Samsung subscribe to this and that because it's quicker and is cheaper than the in-house system.

The world of technology is becoming a hellscape My Samsung refrigerator has been making a weird noise and the water dispenser stopped working, so I called their service line Spent 10 minutes ‘troubleshooting’ (had already done that) before I could give a serial number They made a ticket with the issue and sent a link to schedule service Link wouldn’t let me submit a request, said to call the *same number* I had just called Sat through the automated system again to get to another representative, re-explained everything and gave them the ticket number. Waited on hold for them to get up to speed 10 more minutes confirming issue and service address They gave me another service ticket and told me I’ll get a call back in 2 days, I don’t get to pick the appointment time. WHAT Technology is actually getting worse every day

Before you know it, the simple act of booking an engineer took 2 phone calls millions of lines of code behind a few APIs. The cost savings for the company are likely still there, but the damage to reputation doesn't appear in the same profit and loss statements.

All of that before even addressing the fact that a refrigerator is now ridiculously complicated requiring the call out in the first place. Of course, the answer will be to turn it off and back on again. #endOfRant for now... 🤔

I recently received a parking charge notice for spending too long in a @CostcoUK store car park. Okay, well it was the pre-xmas busy time, I think 30 minutes were spent queuing just to get in the store itself, that excludes time looking for a parking space.

That sucks, sometimes there is also a queue to get in the car park / find a parking space, so hearing that some spaces may be occupied by people watching soccer, I have to ask @CostcoUK why open a store near a soccer ground? They were there first.

And for @CostcoUK benefit, I am of course talking about the Reading store. Yes they sorted it out, but only after several exchanges and ensured that I left feeling like this was a me problem that they helped me solve. The other me problem is me spending too much money in @Costco

I watched #section31 - I can't believe it was a #StarTrek property, in fact, I think the makers of the movie also forgot it was a #StarTrek movie. Perhaps if they took all '6 references' to #StarTrek out of it and badged it under a different title, it perhaps wasn't terrible.

But to brand it in the #StarTrek universe with a few tenuous links to some 60-70 years of storytelling does seem like all they wanted to do was annoy the long time #StarTrek fans.

If the movie stood on its own, with a different brand, it wasn't great, but wasn't terrible, it felt a bit like I was watching some kind of #SuicideSquad type movie, set some time in the future.

I received a game code for a switch game, logged into my Nintendo account on the laptop, entered the code and accepted the game. Great. Whilst there, I had a look through the eStore for any game bargains. So much trash!

I thought the reason we bought @NintendoUK was for the 'quality assured' yet that e-Shop is full of proper trash shovel ware. I appreciate that I get the choice to play so many games but some of this stuff is worse than the free mobile phone games.

really don't know how @NintendoAmerica and friends let that happen. Love the device, love the first party games and much of the third party games as well But for every good game, there are at least 10 trash games.
