Look at the state of this🤦🏼‍♀️ Describing this man as a ‘woman’, talking about ‘her penis’ etc🤢 @barrydistrict you should be embarrassed. Btw, these are the kinds of men that people like @EmilyThornberry want to be allowed to share a female single-sex space with women & little girls Full story: barryanddistrictnews.co.uk/n…

Here we go again... rather than working to ensure a 'good death' for all by funding end of life care, yet another misguided MP is pushing for assisted suicide Thankfully my @BBCOne documentary explaining mine & others opposition is still on @BBCiPlayer bbc.co.uk/iplayer/episode/m0…

“Woman”. No. Men who commit sexual offences against women but who claim to be women are men. Male sex offenders who get off on assaulting women and no doubt get a sexual kick out of imagining themselves as women and donning women’s clothes. Don’t insult us by calling them women.
This offence happened at University Hospital of Wales in Cardiff Underlines why women need single sex hospital wards @jamesmurray_ldn @DHSCgovuk barryanddistrictnews.co.uk/n…

This @barrydistrict story is an embarrassment to journalism. Readers are told a "woman" masturbated in front of nurses. They are then told the prosecutor said: "The defendant put her hands down her leggings to the groin area. Staff could see that she had her penis in her hand and that her hand was moving up and down." "Her penis." To be fair to the reporter, he is accurately reporting what was said in court. But that means the pronouns change from female to male halfway through the story. And journalism is supposed to help readers understand what happened by reporting material facts clearly and accurately. Not require them to perform mental gymnastics in order to make sense of the story. This kind of reporting is confusing, absurd and frankly beneath the standards journalism should aspire to. And it shows exactly what happens when gender ideology is allowed to dictate public life - including the legal system and the media. Link in comments 👇

Very much hoping that this heartfelt message from @jan_murray will prompt @LushLtd and @ChelmsCouncil to realize how much offence they have caused with their celebration of mastectomy scars as “stripes”.
Dear Lush (cc Chelmsford City Council), As a woman who had half a breast removed last year due to cancer, I am writing to raise my concerns about your “Proud of My Stripes” window display. I am also, on behalf of other women who have experienced breast cancer, respectfully requesting its removal. Because mastectomies are not a fashion statement, an identity marker or something to be celebrated. They are something women undergo because they are ill, because they are frightened, because they are trying to stay alive. Around 59,000 women are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK every year. Many will undergo surgery - a mastectomy, lumpectomy or other procedure. Others choose preventive mastectomies because they carry a high-risk BRCA gene mutation. If a woman chooses to have her breasts removed to affirm a gender identity, that is her personal choice. I honestly don’t know the number of women who have elective mastectomies for this reason. What I do know is that it is a tiny number compared with those for whom breast surgery is medically necessary and not something to be celebrated. I think I speak for many women who have experienced breast cancer - and for their families - when I say this: Breast removal surgery is not something I regard as cute, playful or empowering. Nor is it something I believe retailers should be celebrating. For that reason, I am requesting that the display be removed and that @ChelmsCouncil apologise for promoting it on social media. Yours sincerely, Janet Murray

Women, make way in all your spaces for all men and their fully intact male bodies - or you are bigots! (But it's absolutely not misogyny, it's 'progressive').

This statement confirms that no GP has the knowledge or professional competence to initiate cross sex hormones including “bridging prescriptions” that some doctors provide while awaiting appt at a gender clinic. .@RCGP must take note, and must change its guidelines that currently support early prescription by unqualified doctors.
‘None of the clinicians whose care was considered in the investigation were professionally competent to initiate or assume responsibility for prescribing these medications without oversight or support from a specialist gender service.’

Hi @EmilyThornberry so you would deny women privacy, dignity and peace of mind when undressing? You’d deny raped women male-free spaces and counselling groups? I thought you had more sense than this. Very disappointing.
I've joined more than 120 colleagues in signing this EDM to reject the EHRC Code of Practice. Trans people deserve love and equality. I’m worried these new rules won't achieve that. We need a proper debate in Parliament on them, and what they mean for our trans constituents.

The @UKLabour party declined to properly brief either its 2024 GE candidates or, subsequently, its new MPs about the law on sex and gender. Nor were the new intake adequately briefed about the party's 2023 policy pivot against self-ID and in support of single-sex meaning biological sex. This mistaken "say nothing, avoid this topic" approach has contributed to the current muddle and misapprehensions. However, these ill-informed EDM signatories who still cling to the policy of self-ID are not a majority within the PLP & they absolutely do not reflect the majority of Labour voters & members - who support the SC ruling. Our work to educate all our party's parliamentarians continues... And we also point out - SoS @bphillipsonMP & @10DowningStreet have approved & laid the @EHRC code to enter the statute book in July, after the current 40 day period. #TheLawIsTheLaw

“New rules” @EmilyThornberry? It’s statutory guidance. Surely you know the status of statutory guidance? Surely you understand it’s not law? And that if it’s blocked the law will simply remain the law? Incredible if not.

Can we please look at the way unpaid carers are treated in hospital as a matter of urgency? @Kate_Dearden @jamesmurray_ldn Many are effectively expected to provide round-the-clock support, yet are denied the most basic provisions & protections any employed worker would expect 🪡

This is the first conviction using the misogyny as hate crime framework - what he did was already a crime but now he will get a more serious sentence for having targeted this woman. Minimising his behaviour underlines exactly why we fought for this law because she must have been terrified. Ask for a kiss? He grabbed her hair and refused to take no for an answer. Do better @BBCNews
