I urge DReps to checkout Eternl's proposal and vote yes. Eternl has been core and crucial infra for Cardano since forever. They will always have my support.

After reflecting deeply on this governance process, a few things are clearer to me than ever. Cardano is alive. The community is engaged. And that matters more than any single vote. But this process has shown me something important: Cardano's governance is real. You are not passive holders. You are owners. That is exactly what we built this for. It has also reminded me that when Cardano has needed it most, the Pentad delivered. IOG, EMURGO, the Cardano Foundation, Midnight Foundation, and Intersect have proven they can coordinate and bring critical integrations to life when the ecosystem needed it. That coordination layer matters now more than ever. So let me show up the way I should. I will be in Singapore for the Cardano Summit and I will be on stage. I am also personally committing to partially top up our Token2049 sponsorship to Title level. Being on that main stage is where Cardano and Midnight need to be heard. To the Pentad, I am inviting all of you to sit down and have a real conversation about the future of governance and how we formalise this coordination going forward. I am 100% focused on Cardano and Midnight. Always have been. Let me prove it. #strongertogether

Love you to death man but you are missing the whole point. The community you built is talking and you are not listening, in fact you are making it worse by threatening us. If we are the science coin, then cut all the extra stuff IO has their hands in. The other non research, non dev, non update proposals, and come back with 3 proposals that focus on core development, maintenance, and research. The problem I have right now is IO lacks focus. One post I hear research is the most important, one post it’s chain updates, one post its core development and maintenance, then sprinkle in all the completely unrelated businesses that should be running independently (although I do appreciate that IO contracts several community teams). All these things at once cannot be the top issue, you need to focus and pick a lane. One team cannot be responsible for oversight of 50% of the treasury spend. I can imagine it will be impossible for IO to be sustainable without treasury money. This is a huge problem that I see no end in sight for. I’m not sure there is a sustainable path to revenue, never been talked about publicly. If all IO proposals are going to be an every year expenditure, then they should have a much tighter budget and focus. We are forcing every one else to show numbers, provide a path towards self sustainability, and repay the treasury somehow. This expectation should be across the board. Also, show us the FTE rates and overhead cost!! The community deserves to know. It’s good business practice and will set a bar for the next round of proposers who look to further decentralize that work. Idk if you will read this or not. I personally do not want you or IO to leave. I simply am asking for focus, transparency, and a bit of willingness to change based on community feedback. Because this is not a good look for any of us.

This doesn't have anything to do with me. This has to do with destroying the entire core of our ecosystem. Cardano is the science coin. That's our brand. We spent hundreds of millions of dollars and a decade to earn the right to say that. You don't throw it away

Sometimes when I look at what people in the Cardano ecosystem are doing, it feels kind of like a miracle... Even now, so many blockchain foundations are putting in massive effort to build their ecosystems. They pour in huge amounts of capital and hire top talent, but a lot of them still struggle to get real results. Getting people to voluntarily join an ecosystem, build products on their own, show up to events, network, and rally around shared values is incredibly hard. If the core of that ecosystem is something short-lived like airdrops or meme tokens, people just hit the requirements and leave. But building a community around shared belief in technology, network effects, and fundamentals is a completely different level. It creates something much deeper and more durable. I think Cardano has that kind of “something.” Even when the token price drops hard, people don’t just stay, they stick around, keep building, contributing, and staying active. That tells you there’s something at the core that’s not easy to explain. And the fact that this “something” actually exists, that’s what makes it feel almost like a miracle to me.

Hopefully recent treasury discussions are a wake up call to a lot of people including ADA holders. Delegation matters. Pick a good dRep. Take the 30 seconds to (re)delegate if you have to, it's worth it.

Hi @Cardano and @MidnightNtwrk In my years in crypto, I’ve not seen another founder like @IOHK_Charles who has worked so tirelessly for the success of the projects that they have founded and built. It is imperative that we come together and recognise that we do not have a right to remain in the top10 (or higher). @MidnightNtwrk completes a missing and essential core primitive that was built as a partner chain to @Cardano in mind. I understand that we are all feeling the pain of another crypto winter and it’s difficult to bear. But like all winters, it will end. However, we will only emerge stronger if we put aside old grievances (that sincerely distract us from moving forward) and show institutions (who are deciding which L1s to adopt) that we have a strong and committed community. We are not only stronger together (@Cardano x @MidnightNtwrk); but we are more relevant.
This has nothing to do with blind trust. We have made multiple disclosures about this topic and I will never back down. People building directly on midnight are aware about the bridge strategy. To say it's been miscommunicated is completely disingenuous. We have spent more than two years talking about this topic and even created bespoke protocols to facilitate it like Ouroboros Peras. The meta issue here is the perpetual lack of good faith and the assumption that midnight is the enemy of Cardano. I will repeat myself from the video that I shot. If this is allowed to fester Cardano will fail. I do not want to look back at the last 10 years of my life and mark it down with an L. For the sake of everyone who has sacrificed so much to try to get this ecosystem going, we have to stop self-sabotaging. We have to stop holding up people who try to tear us down.

I hope my life's work will be to make or contribute to a meaningful rise in the global floor and median quality of life. I believe the best way to do this is for the world to build social institutions on top of transparent, efficient, tamper proof ledgers that reduce bureaucracy, exploitation, and waste. I believe the second best way to do this is to build up access to finance, passive income, and financial literacy for as many people as possible. That's why I'm in software. That's why I'm in crypto. That's why I'm on Cardano. And that's why I've built up Sundae Labs as the software company it is. Every day, and nearly everything I do, is geared towards this. It's why my salary is substantially lower than I could make literally anywhere else, lower than the job I left, and exactly the median salary of what my team makes. It's why my net worth (excluding the completely illiquid value of my equity in Sundae Labs) has been flat or slightly declining since I started this journey. It's why I've largely soldiered through death threats and some of the most toxic hateful bile you can imagine. But spending time on Twitter, where I've often enjoyed connecting with an audience, has become a threat to that mission. It's clear that I'm not going to solve the problems I see in the world through Twitter discourse. For a long time I thought it might help: engage in good faith to share my perspectives, break down what I know so others can understand in the hopes that it contributes to their ability to navigate the technological changes that are coming, and serve as the best example I can for effective and thoughtful discourse. But instead, especially lately, it has simply become a drain on my energy and motivation. Even if I engage less, just *reading* the way we treat each other is demoralizing. Even people who I believe have good intentions can't help but contribute to a storm of negativity that is fighting to sweep us out to sea. There is a mob that is so frustrated by the state of the world and the very problems me and other builders are trying to solve that they can't help but funnel that discontent into a... miasma, directed at anything and everything around them. Somehow posts that are "just asking questions" and would, in any other environment be totally welcome, end up as weapons picked up off the bloody ground to be hurled in anger at an unintended target. Somehow close friends grow so embittered with each other they'd rather tear the thing they both believed in in half to spite the other. Somehow legitimate mistakes immediately get brandished as fraud because scorched earth total-war tactics to destroy someone we dislike become the only thing that can hold our attention, the only thing we can think to do in our ineffectiveness against a cruel and difficult world. Somehow some of the kindest and most like-minded builders have their patience ground to dust until they reach their breaking point and they lash out in ways that don't reflect who they are. We're all so fucking tense, or sick to our stomach, or caught up in the sound of our own voice, that it's impossible for us to take a beat and sort out a misunderstanding in DMs before making some public fucking tabloid accusation or insult on the timeline. And again, I don't think (would like to believe, as a fundamentally optimistic person) that most of this is in bad faith. But the medium leaves no other outcome for us. So, for me, Twitter is no longer just a waste of time, it's an active threat to my goals. It's a long drag on a cigarette taken between work calls that no longer even brings me comfort, it's just the thing I do, and it's slowly giving us all cancer. It saps my energy, ruins my mood, and makes me, on darker days, doubt whether any of this is even worth it, let alone possible. I don't want my life's work to amount to being unhappy and resentful of the people I'm trying to help (yes, even if you and I have disagreements, even if we hate each other, I want better for you too). So, I will be trying the nicotine patches yet again. Since there's no "Non Smoking" section of Twitter, I will be dramatically reducing the time I spend on here, and funneling that energy into other, more productive channels. I hope to write more for my blog, 314pool.com. Perhaps I'll get back into live-streaming some of my work on Twitch. If you want to stay in touch and we're not connected elsewhere, the best way is by email. It's just my first name at sundae.fi. (Yes, I know this isn't an airport, and I don't have to announce my departure. I considered just disappearing, as this feels a little bit melodramatic. But in the end, I wanted people to know why I've gone quiet, and how to reach me.) I hope I'm not alone in noticing this trend, especially within our community. If any of this resonates with you, it might be worth looking at what the timeline is accomplishing (or not) for you. And don't worry. Recent weeks have been harder than most, as I'm sure you've all seen on the timeline, but I'm made of tougher stuff. I'll still be here and building, and you'll still see the impact of the work that my team and I do (and boy do they have some exciting things for you soon). I just really really don't think Twitter is the right place for me to fix the problems I want to fix.

An update on our engagement with @Mastercard. While Cardano was not included in the initial cohort of 85 launch partners, @emurgo_io has been actively engaging with their APAC team to change that and ensure our ecosystem is represented. Following a leadership transition at Mastercard APAC —where our primary contact moved to EY — we have successfully connected with his successors. They were excited to speak with us and I am pleased to share we are now in the Qualification Stage for the Global Crypto Partner Program. With the continued support of the Cardano community, I am confident in a positive outcome. This important: Please like and share to show @Mastercard the strength of our ecosystem. Mastercard is a global firm.. we need to show them that our inclusion into their Partner Program will make a difference to them. Surely this is an initiative the entire Cardano ecosystem can support! #cardano86 Let's go!!! #cardano #mastercard @Cardano_CF @Cardano @IOGroup @midnightfdn
