This is a moment to double down for organisations that TRULY value DE&I. Leadership without diversity isn’t leadership - it’s regression. What a way to start 2025. axios.com/2025/01/10/meta-de…

Long time in the making - thanks for all your efforts @airstreet!
A major win for UK university spinouts! This is the fruit of 2 years of work from us to create a more permissive environment for founders to form companies out of their inventions in university. Many said it couldn't be done. Many didn't want it to happen. Now, it's official.

Incredible to see how quickly @satyanadella moved over the weekend - practically acqui-hiring the entire OpenAI talent. Win-win. What a feat to pull off.

Now, Sam is one of those unstoppable forces so he may very well soon enlist other backers and leave but… for now it looks like OpenAI split into two, and Microsoft has managed to seize both halves.

Classic transformational leader vs Transactional leadership.

The most interesting thing about OpenAI is: How did the company build a culture that not only shipped GPT4, DALLE, and ChatGPT — but also made every staff willing to follow Sam out the door? Do any OpenAI staff want to share?

So @OpenAI releases a guide for teachers - it's focussed on prompts rather than a guide on how to catch students using ChatGPT for homework (most use cases). Perhaps what we will be seeing are playbooks aimed at different enterprise customers. openai.com/blog/teaching-wit…

Been having lots of convos recently with the likes of @Equitas15 and @kellyocg about the use of generative AI in-house as talent professionals, but curious to see the applications on the candidate side e.g. cover letters, interview preparations etc

Plain and simple: I'm just getting a tonne of inbound for very niche roles we are hiring for from people who just don't even have the relevant skill-set. Why.

Interesting to see the hiring specifics for GenAI

Replying to @AznWeng
Creating new content is what most people associated with GenAI. Here are 2 examples: $ROKU is hiring engineers to develop LLMs to generate metadata/artwork for videos. And social media giant TikTok is deploying LLMs to generate product descriptions for products sold on Tiktok
