Today, I spoke on the Assembly floor to explain my vote in favor of legislation that requires a 50-foot buffer zone in front of houses of worship, educational institutions and community centers during protests. “No New Yorker should ever be forced to choose between their personal safety and attending religious services.”

Nonsense like this is divisive and destructive to our state. It is my highest priority to prevent such an unacceptable and reckless measure from ever being seriously considered in the state legislature.

In 1947 the UN voted on a partition plan which would have created two states. Israel accepted it the Arabs did not and attacked Israel instead. Those that left were not driven out but fled with their "leaders" telling them that the Jews will be driven into the sea
Today marks Nakba Day, an annual day of remembrance to commemorate the expulsion of more than 700,000 Palestinians between 1947 and 1949 during the creation of the State of Israel and the year that followed. Inea is a New Yorker and a Nakba survivor. She shared her story with us — one of home, tradition and memory over generations.

They were told they will be able to return to their homes. Those that stayed became fully integrated into Israeli society serving in the knesset, military, police and even Supreme Court. Facts Matter.

Notice how easy it is for politicians to condemn a Nazi flag hanging at NYU, yet how hard it is for them to condemn a masked mob of terrorist supporters gathered on the streets of Brooklyn to harass the Jews.
