We understand that many people don't like changing the clock twice a year. It's inconvenient. It can take a few days to adjust.
But before deciding which way to "lock the clock" or whether to keep the status quo, it's important for policymakers to understand the ramifications of such a decision. How will it affect religious communities? How it will affect child safety? What are the economic ramifications?

Orthodox groups say that changing to permanent daylight saving time would have a significant impact on daily Jewish morning prayers, which must be conducted during daylight and would happen well into the workday in certain times of the year, and also raise safety concerns for children commuting to school in the dark.

Today the @USTreasury released a preview of guidance for the implementation the new federal scholarship tax credit. Agudath Israel urges remaining states to opt in and allow SGOs, schools, and families sufficient time to prepare before it launches in January 2027.
