Trump breaks the wheel and claims credit for inventing it. For a cool $100B. To date.
Trump is a f*cking moron who has no idea what he’s doing. We got nothing out of this stupid war except the same promise Iran has been making for years.

The story of Trump's J6 pardons isn't over.
I wish @CNN would have the guts to make a documentary about the Jan 6 people Donald Trump pardoned and the crimes they committed or planned AFTER being pardoned. It is a shocking list for anyone who researches this.

He left out the part about bird deaths.
EAMON JAVERS Have you talked to anybody in NATO about that? I mean, have they changed their tune on the strait? PRESIDENT TRUMP They would, if I wanted them to, but they would. I want them to. We don’t need them. We don’t need NATO. They were very, very weak and very sad. What they said, they said we’ll help you as soon as the war is over. NATO, Europe has lost its way. They have a tremendous immigration problem, and they have a tremendous energy problem, because all they want to do is build windmills all over the place, so anyway. Well, call me. You can call me tomorrow, and I’ll talk to you about it. Let’s see what’s going on - okay? cnbc.com/2026/06/01/trump-ir…

America is 'hot' is a cheap slogan. The world isn't buying.
“AND YOU STILL DARE TO OPEN YOUR MOUTH…” Sasha Legerman: This is too accurate not to share. This Australian’s response to Trump’s rant that “NATO does nothing for America” is absolutely devastating: “Mate. You run a country where 600,000 homeless people will sleep on the streets tonight. A country where 40% of adults can’t cover a $400 emergency without borrowing money. A country where insulin costs more than a car payment, and people ration it just to stay alive. A country where medical debt is the number one cause of bankruptcy. A country where women die in hospital parking lots because doctors are too afraid of abortion laws to treat miscarriages. You imprison more of your own citizens than any country on Earth. More than China. More than Russia. More than North Korea. In the land of the free, 2 million people sit in cages, and a quarter of them haven’t even been convicted of anything. They’re simply too poor to afford bail. Your life expectancy is declining. You’re the only developed nation where that’s happening. Your infant mortality rate is worse than Cuba’s. Your children practice active shooter drills between math and English classes while you sell defense stocks to your friends. Your minimum wage hasn’t changed in 15 years. Your teachers work two jobs, your veterans sleep under bridges, and you just spent a trillion dollars flattening a country that never attacked you. And now a convicted criminal — found liable for sexual abuse, defending a pedophile, sleeping with a porn star, and running the biggest dumpster-fire campaign since the Taliban — is thanking you for yet another disaster. And you call Greenland badly governed? Greenland has universal healthcare. Free education. One of the lowest incarceration rates in the world. Nobody there goes bankrupt because they got sick. Nobody dies in a waiting room because insurance refused treatment. ‘NATO wasn’t there when we needed them.’ When exactly was that, champ? September 11? Because NATO invoked Article 5 for the first and only time in history FOR YOU. Soldiers from dozens of countries deployed, fought, bled, and died in Afghanistan FOR YOU. Australia wasn’t even in NATO, and we still showed up. For twenty years. And then you left at 2 a.m. without telling anyone and left everybody else to clean up the mess. You don’t care that a great nation is being terrorized by your friend, and you haven’t shown it a single ounce of sympathy. So maybe before calling other countries badly governed, take a look at your own backyard, you aluminum siding salesman with a spray tan. The only thing badly managed in this picture is your damn mouth. And you still dare to lecture the rest of the world?”

Francis Fukuyama on the U.S. as a declining power: American decline is a direct product of Trump's rise since 2016. It is as if Trump had decided to do everything in his power to weaken the United States vis-à-vis China. He has polarized an already polarized country, cut funding for basic scientific research, and attacked American universities which are the best in the world. He and his colleagues have openly stated that their domestic opponents — the Democrats — are a far greater threat to the future of the United States than either China or Russia. There is agreement among America's friends and rivals that the United States has become something of a rogue state that is contributing to global instability and disorder — as well as something of a laughingstock.

After Nixon’s “I am not a crook” tax scandal, the IRS mandated that the president’s tax returns be audited yearly. Every president since Nixon (except Trump) publicly released theirs. With the new DOJ settlement ending his audits, Trump is essentially announcing “I am a crook.”

Securities fraud and market manipulation from Trump. Over 3,600 transactions since January. Will Republicans say a word? Will candidates up for election in tomorrow's Republican primaries? The crimes of this administration outpace every effort to get justice.

Maddow: So in January, Trump buys hundreds of thousands of dollars of stock in Nvidia. Then a week later, his commerce department approves the sale of Nvidia chips to China.  Also in January, Trump buys between 50,000 and $100,000 worth of stock in AMD. One week after he buys it, his commerce department approves AMD doing business in China as well.  The following month, in February, Trump buys millions of dollars worth of stock in Dell. Nine days after he buys millions of dollars worth of stock in Dell, Trump veers off script in a speech in Georgia to tell the crowd literally, quote, go out and buy a Dell computer.  Then in March, Judd Legum at Popular Information reports that Trump repeatedly buys up Thermo Fisher stock, and then he goes and visits Thermo Fisher on a presidential visit and praises the company. That same day, Trump bought hundreds of thousands of dollars of stock in Apple. And then that same day he bought the stock, he did another event where he singled out Apple and Apple CEO Tim cook for praise. Apple a great company. Then after that, Trump buys Micron stock. The very next day, he calls into the Fox News channel and tells them Micron is one of the hottest companies. CNBC reporting Trump makes seven separate purchases of Palantir stock. Hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of Palantir stock. Then he gets on truth social and praises Palantir.

Fraudsters policing fraudsters. Trump launches a task force on fraud seeking cover for his glaring corruption.
BREAKING: MASSIVE HYPOCRISY! JD Vance RANTS ON about fighting fraud as DOJ drops charges against a foreign billionaire accused of bribery. The audacity is almost more breathtaking than the hypocrisy. JD Vance has been barnstorming the country, delivering fiery speeches about fraud, promising to put fraudsters "in prison, which is where they belong," boasting that catching criminals is "like fishing in a barrel," and assuring working Americans that "for the first time in a very long time, you've got an administration in Washington that is fighting for you." Then the New York Times dropped a bombshell: the Trump Justice Department is preparing to drop all criminal charges against Gautam Adani — India's richest man, worth $104 billion — who was indicted for orchestrating a $265 million scheme to bribe Indian government officials and lying to American investors about it. How did Adani do it? He hired Trump's own personal lawyer, Robert Giuffra of Sullivan & Cromwell. Giuffra walked into DOJ headquarters, showed prosecutors 100 slides, and — in what the Times describes as an "unusual offer" — dangled a $10 billion investment and 15,000 American jobs if prosecutors walked away. At least one senior Justice Department official responded favorably. The charges are now being dropped. This is the fraud network Vance described in his own speech — powerful people at the top of a corrupt pyramid buying their way out of accountability — except the people running the pyramid are his Trump administration colleagues. Vance thundered about dead people getting food stamps. Meanwhile, his administration is letting a foreign billionaire accused of a quarter-billion-dollar bribery conspiracy walk free after flashing a big enough check. Adani will pay a comparatively paltry $18 million SEC penalty — a rounding error on a $104 billion fortune. This follows Trump pardoning donors, dropping charges against political allies, and dismissing the entire Foreign Corrupt Practices Act as criminalizing "routine business practices." The message from this administration could not be clearer: fraud prosecutions are for poor people and political enemies. If you're a billionaire with the right lawyer and a big enough investment pledge, justice is very much for sale. Vance said the fraudsters belong in prison. He just forgot to mention which ones. BREAKING: Former FBI Director James Comey just TORCHED Kash Patel for his disrespectful Pearl Harbor snorkel vacation — and gave him a lesson on how to behave on the job. Today, the Associated Press revealed that FBI Director Kash Patel happily snorkeled over the graves of 900 American sailors. That's not a metaphor. Patel (alias “J. Edgar Boozer”) — a man who has spent the past year jetting around the world on a government Gulfstream, partying in Olympic locker rooms, and handing out branded bourbon bottles — quietly arranged a "VIP snorkel" around the sunken USS Arizona at Pearl Harbor, where the remains of more than 900 sailors and Marines still rest on the ocean floor. The excursion was coordinated by military officials, kept out of FBI press releases, and revealed only through government emails obtained by the Associated Press. Patel had already visited Hawaii once on that trip. He came back for two more days — and nobody at the FBI will say what else he did there. The government jet then flew on to Las Vegas, Patel's adopted hometown. When CNN's Kasie Hunt asked former FBI Director James Comey whether he would have done any of this, the response was quietly devastating. "I visited the Pearl Harbor Memorial with the admiral in charge of the Pacific Command on a Navy boat," Comey said. "Never got in the water." Comey then explained what Patel apparently never learned: "When you're FBI director, you have a responsibility to represent not just yourself, but 38,000 people and an idea, an American idea that's respected around the world. You're always on duty, you're always being watched." On Patel's drinking? "You can't be [intoxicated] because you're always on. You don't get vacation because you're considered on the job 24-7 all the time. You can be asked to approve a FISA, to be involved in an operational decision." Marine veteran Hack Albertson, who dives the Arizona annually to monitor the wreck's condition, didn't mince words about Patel's snorkel tour: "It's like having a bachelor party at a church. It's hallowed ground. It needs to be treated with the solemnity it deserves." Meanwhile, family members of Pearl Harbor survivors — who have never been permitted to snorkel at the site themselves — learned their loved ones' tomb was used for a VIP recreational outing by a man who also gave New Zealand officials illegal 3D-printed guns and chugged beer on camera at the Olympics. How far the FBI has fallen under Patel and the Trump administration! We’re lucky to have James Comey’s institutional memory to remind us how things are supposed to work. Diplomacy. What a concept.
President Obama on Iran: “We pulled it off without firing a missile. We got 97% of their enriched uranium out. There’s no dispute that it worked and we didn’t have to kill a whole bunch of people or shut down the Strait of Hormuz”

WOW. Trump’s net worth has nearly tripled in his second term, now hitting $6.5 billion. And that’s before we even get to how much his rich friends and big-money donors have made off his presidency. Remember that next time he brags about donating his presidential salary. Remember that next time a MAGA propagandist claims Trump “sacrificed everything” to serve. Drain the swamp, right?

His supporters have embraced Trump's violent rhetoric from the beginning and dismissed criticism of it as weakness.
"Enemy from within." "Communists, Marxists, fascists, radical left thugs, vermin." "Garbage" Somalis, "low IQ people." "She's an evil, sick, crazy, b..." Republicans want the left to tone down the rhetoric. Erm, have they listened to Donald Trump?? Zeteo put together a montage:

A "hateful trend." Beginning during the campaign season of 2016. Here's Trump on Liz Cheney from October 2024: “[Liz Cheney’s] a radical war hawk. Let’s put her with a rifle standing there with nine barrels shooting at her, okay? Let’s see how she feels about it ... when the guns are trained on her face.” No problem with this? Thought so. Our FLOTUS is a carbon copy Ghislaine Maxwell.
.@FLOTUS is right. Jimmy Kimmel’s comments were disgusting and are a hateful trend. Our right to free speech does not mean we are immune to being held accountable for vile rhetoric like this. If ABC doesn’t take action to address this, they’re choosing to be part of the problem.

Thank you, Doug!
Charging the Southern Poverty Law Center with a federal crime for paying informants to help dismantle hate groups is an outrageous weaponization of the Dept of Justice and the FBI. As someone who has been a prosecutor and has taken on the Klan I can tell you that use of paid informants is a common tactic used to dismantle drug cartels, the mob and extremist groups on both the right and the left. It is clear that all civil rights organizations are in the cross hairs of this Administration and that folks, puts everyone at risk.
