URGENT: We’re calling on MPs to ensure Passenger Rights and Public Interest Duties become core values of Great British Railways. This can only be done by amending Clause 18, which will set the criteria for all future rail policy decisions. The amendments include: - A strong Passenger and Disability Rights Duty - Duty to maximise socioeconomic value - Climate and environment duties - Duty to achieve targets for full rail accessibility - Duties for affordable fares and transport integration Please help by emailing your MP - asking them to co-sponsor Amendments 29, 30 and 33, and support these values in the Commons debate this Wednesday. abcommuters.com/2026/06/01/d…

Update on Railways Bill: There was a major win on public ownership this week, but the government failed to take on ANY amendments for passenger and disability rights or public interest. Our full report is coming soon, before we take this fight to the House of Lords.

The Railways Bill is the biggest opportunity in decades to get justice for disabled passengers. It also presents serious risks to their rights. It's exactly the time that well-funded charities should be pushing harder than ever, ensuring the work is not left to volunteers.
We are pausing all activity on X while we review our presence on this platform. Please stay in touch by following us on Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn or Bluesky, and signing up for our monthly members' newsletter: transportforall.org.uk/take-…

Our full support to @LevelBoarding with their strong intervention on the HS2 train fleet. It should be out of the question for govt to commission new train designs without level boarding. To do so is a form of discrimination because it creates new barriers to accessibility.
Today, the Campaign has published an open letter to @Heidi_Labour regarding the news that the HS2 train fleet contract is to be reviewed. The opportunity to apply 8 years of learning on accessibility since the trains were originally specified MUST be taken.

Improving disability access to rail in #Herefordshire is vital for a wide range of people incl mums with pushchairs, elderly with suitcases, etc, particularly at #Ledbury Station where there is no disability access. Please act as advised below 👇 @herefordlibdems @greenhereford
The Railways Bill is back in Parliament on 10 June, giving MPs one last chance to put disabled passengers’ rights at the heart of Great British Railways. @We_OwnIt have a quick template if you've only got 2 minutes, or check out @ABCommuters resources for a personalised letter

@transportgovuk @Heidi_Labour @Keir_Starmer Great British Railway needs to have more rail user representation/democracy in decison making at the heart. The shield brand is being used for elite professional priviledge, when it is users who are at the sharp end who can feedback.

NEW: We're calling for a democratic passenger organisation for Great British Railways, built on values of independence, equality and inclusion. The amendments have been extremely popular with MPs, with 28 already co-sponsoring. Please help us take this number even higher before the Third Reading of the Railways Bill next week. abcommuters.com/2026/06/04/a…

@NFBUK @RMTunion @TransportForAll @ABCommuters @TransportFocus Good Evening how are GWR allowed to change the staffing hours of a station (making it lose 3 hours staffing a day weekdays) ‘until further notice’?
