*This* message has been totally lost in Ireland. Contact tracing is calling to people to enquire about their contacts. It is very different to outbreak management. Funding contact tracing is important, but that is not in any way equivalent to funding regional public health units.

This is a really good example of what the government calls 'retrospective contact tracing' but what we in public health call 'source investigation'. If we had the resources, we could do this for all cases #COVID19 #publichealth @DonnellyStephen @MichealMartinTD @paulreiddublin

Questions have been asked about which is the best vaccine to receive. A simple answer is the first you are offered. All available vaccines protect against severe disease and death. The sooner you are vaccinated the sooner you are protected. #VaccinesWork

Is this for real? The need for proper, retrospective tracing has been known for 9 months. The need for proper resourcing of Public Health Drs has been known for years! It seems at last, little by little, @MichealMartinTD is beginning to understand the principles of #ZeroCovid
