May 2026: $LWLG : "most of the integration of PDK 1.1 in high volume foundry will be be done in 2026"
$LWLG $MRVL $NVDA Interesting chain of connections: NVIDIA invested $2B in Marvell. Marvell owns Polariton. Polariton’s record-setting modulator was demonstrated using LWLG’s Perkinamine material. The key question isn’t whether the technology works — that has already been demonstrated. The real question is whether Perkinamine is part of Marvell’s commercial roadmap or was only used in a lab demonstration. Because of LWLG’s NDA-heavy approach, investors may not get confirmation until a tape-out, foundry milestone, or a named design win emerges. 2H 2026 could provide important signals. Until then, this remains one of the more interesting threads connecting AI infrastructure, advanced modulators, and electro-optic polymers. cnbc.com/2026/05/29/nvidia-p…

Ventajas claras vs InP y TFLN en velocidad, potencia, tamaño y escalabilidad para CPO y AI scale-up/scale-out. #LWLG #Earnings #AIInfrastructure #Photonics #SiliconPhotonics #Stocks

$LWLG $MRVL $NVDA Very interesting Optica webinar this week featuring Claudia Hößbacher, former Polariton CTO and now at Marvell, presenting plasmonic modulator technology for next-generation AI interconnects and co-packaged optics. The presentation contains multiple references that strongly point toward organic EO polymer integration, including Perkinamine-related technology associated with Lightwave Logic. Watch from approximately minute 27 onward: optica.org/events/webinar/20… What stands out immediately: integrated on standard silicon photonics ultra-small 10 µm modulators energy-efficient capacitive load EO bandwidth beyond 900 GHz direct AI/CPO/NVIDIA infrastructure relevance claims of 5x better power efficiency and 10x higher resiliency This no longer looks like pure research. The focus is clearly on scalable manufacturing, AI deployment, and future 400G/lane optical interconnects. Claudia Hößbacher’s first public presentation in her new role at Marvell is highly significant for the electro-optic photonics industry. As former co-founder and CTO of Polariton Technologies, she has long been associated with plasmonic modulators and organic electro-optic materials. Her appearance at an Optica webinar, now representing Marvell, strongly suggests that Marvell is actively advancing plasmonic EO modulators toward commercial AI interconnect applications. What stands out immediately is that the presentation is not theoretical research anymore. The slides focus on manufacturability, scalability, integration into standard silicon photonics (SiPh), and deployment in AI-driven data infrastructure. That is a major shift. The first slide, “Plasmonic modulator technology,” is probably the clearest summary of why this technology matters. Four characteristics are emphasized simultaneously: scalable energy efficient small fast Normally, photonics platforms trade one advantage for another. Here, Marvell claims all four at once. The “Integrated on standard SiPh” statement is extremely important. It means the technology is designed for compatibility with existing silicon photonics foundries and manufacturing ecosystems. This lowers commercialization risk dramatically. It implies this is not a laboratory curiosity anymore but something intended for volume production. The “10 µm long” statement is equally important. Traditional modulators are much larger. A plasmonic modulator at only 10 micrometers is extraordinarily compact. Smaller devices reduce capacitance, reduce energy consumption, and allow much higher integration density. The “EO bandwidth beyond 900 GHz” reference is perhaps the most explosive technical claim on the slide. That is well beyond conventional silicon photonics modulators. Bandwidth at this level directly aligns with future 400G/lane and even higher interconnect targets required for AI clusters. The phrase “capacitive load” also matters. It implies the device behaves electrically in a highly efficient way, reducing power requirements for high-speed switching. That is essential for AI datacenters where power consumption is becoming the primary bottleneck. The key interpretation is this: Marvell is presenting plasmonic EO modulators as a commercially manufacturable answer to the AI interconnect crisis. The references to organic EO materials are also very important. Claudia comes directly from Polariton, where organic electro-optic materials were central. Perkinamine is one of the most recognized organic EO chromophore platforms associated with Lightwave Logic. While the presentation itself may not explicitly say “Lightwave Logic,” the technological fingerprints strongly point toward organic EO polymer integration. The second slide about applications expands the scope far beyond datacom alone. Marvell positions the technology for: IM/DD datacom coherent telecom wireless communications sensing This matters because it suggests the platform is not a single-purpose AI product.

Yes. Based on Marvell/Polariton's presentations and relevant research papers, I concluded that Polariton's modulator—unlike Celestial's Ge modulator, which is utilized for internal DC applications—is intended for long-distance transmission purposes, such as DC-to-DC connections. I covered them in my article substack.com/@photoncap/p-19… I have written this out, making precise distinctions right down to the specific purpose. I wonder if anyone else on X has ever broken it down to this level of detail? Celestial is also a modulator—is there anyone who knows the difference?

Just reiterating my disbelief: I have never seen a sector more bullish than CPO. GS reported Optical TAM 9X from $15b in 2026 -> US$154b in 2028 CPO making up $91B of that. Starting from ~$164M (Modor for 2026 / sampling) to $91 Billion (GS 2028) 55,000% CPO growth curve starting from today This is exactly why algorithms / analysts mess up because they might look at TTM revenue at these CPO names. But everything happens in the next two years with $SIVE to Shunsin to MSSCorps to $SOI. This is Zero to 100 from a massive architectural shift pushed by $NVDA. I genuinely still don't think retail or markets understand what's coming yet.
