Impressive data with mRNA personalised vaccine seen here in patients with melanoma. Trials in lung cancer open and recruiting (open at SBH) and we look forward to see outcome data! #ASCO26
Another major advance vs cancer! @ASCO #ASCO26 Personalized neoantigen mRNA vaccine 5 year follow-up vs metastatic melanoma reduced recurrence and death by 49% (on top of Keytruda) ascopubs.org/doi/10.1200/JCO…

Presented at #ASCO26: Among patients with 𝘙𝘌𝘛 fusion–positive non–small-cell lung cancer, adjuvant selpercatinib led to longer event-free survival than placebo. Adverse events of grade 3 or higher included elevated liver-enzyme levels. Full phase 3 LIBRETTO-432 trial results: nej.md/3Q3QcIo @ASCO

🔥🔥🔥Perhaps the most remarkable aspect of LIBRETTO-432 is not the hazard ratio. It’s how far the field has come. A decade ago, RET fusions were largely undruggable. Today, a highly selective RET inhibitor reduces the risk of recurrence or death by nearly 83% in patients treated with curative intent. From an orphan alteration to one of the biggest success stories in precision oncology. #ASCO26 @OncoAlert @OncoReporte @MedwatchKate @Larvol @WeOncologists @GlopesMd @StephenVLiu @peters_solange @CharuAggarwalMD @MartinReck2 @christine_lovly @DrSanjayPopat @DrMirallas @FernandoOnco @bmassutis @UmbertoMalapel1 @jillfeldman4 @bensolomon1 @VanitaNoronha @DrSanjayPopat @DrJNaidoo @Latinamd @JulienMazieres @TerriConneran @BRicciutiMD @LungCancerEu

#ASCO26 “Atypical” EGFR mutations are no longer an afterthought in NSCLC. We’re finally seeing dedicated prospective data instead of small retrospective series. Key signals: 🟢 Afatinib: early benchmark activity 🟢 Osimertinib: CNS-friendly option 🟢 Furmonertinib: ORR up to 68% 🟢 Amivantamab lazertinib: promising durability with mPFS nearing 20 months in 1L Most exciting update: 🧬 ALPACCA is now the first randomized phase III trial dedicated to PACC atypical EGFR mutations. After years of lumping these patients together, precision treatment for uncommon EGFR is finally becoming real. #OncoTwitter #MedTwitter #LungCancer @OncoAlert @myesmo @esmo_open @ASCO @larvol

Where is the ethical justification for offering pembrolizumab alone to patients with low PD-L1 expression in this trial? What would these patients receive if they were not participating in the study? Chemotherapy alone? Thats why patients participate? To take the chance to be assigned to the experimental arm? Unfortunately a randomized phase 3 trial with no clinical implications due to a flawed trial design. #ASCO26 #LCSM
Presented at #ASCO26—OptiTROP-Lung05 phase 3 interim analysis. The findings suggest first-line treatment with sacituzumab tirumotecan (sac-TMT) plus pembrolizumab significantly prolonged PFS vs pembrolizumab alone in patients with PD-L1-positive advanced NSCLC without targetable genomic alterations.
