Who is responsible for hate against Jews, she asks? Why it's all these Jews, she answers!
Replying to @atRachelGilmore
If people believe that to be Jewish is to support a state that is committing genocide, hate against Jewish people will rise. So please shove it if you’re going to tell me it’s antisemitic to oppose this egregious demonstration. This demonstration will serve as rocket fuel for antisemitism.

Employment rates among seniors have climbed steadily and have no obvious ceiling. Given stagnant real GDP per capita, it's worth noting that continued increases along this margin have considerable potential to raise output per capita -- no productivity miracle required.

It really is incredibly infantilizing.
This whole racist TTC plan seems to involve putting little animal symbols on things, because apparently they think indigenous people are all four-year olds who don’t understand how words and street signs work, and so they need to look at little pictures

clearly we need a diversity meta-council to determine who sits on the diversity council.

RIP Marjane Satrapi, 1969-2026 For many years, I assigned Persepolis by Satrapi in a fourth year undergraduate seminar I teach on Iran. A brilliant, nuanced, touching, funny graphic novel about her life in Iran, the revolution & exile, it was always much appreciated by students

Absolutely entitled to your opinions. Never suggested otherwise. But any @CPC_HQ representative appearing on @RebelNewsOnline -a declared Alberta separatism advocacy group - is aiding and abetting that agenda.
I'm the head of a third party advertiser. I'm a fifth gen Alberta farmer, a third gen separatist, and entitled to my opinions. I don't lie about my bias like the CBC does. Rebel News, a separate entity, is HQ'd in Toronto. Cute call for censorship. Insufferable crybully.

Exceptional editorial on Mark Carney’s antisemitism speech and its lack of courage: “He should have said: ‘If you oppose Israel’s existence, if you demonize Jewish-Canadians, you are wrong, you are hateful and I stand against you.’” theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…

I am so done with these people. The harm they've done to genuine abuse victims, to my country, to reconciliation, is incalculable. All to protect themselves from accountability for the lies they've been telling. nationalpost.com/opinion/ter…

First you have to prove the statement is false (unlikely), then that refusing to compare residential schools to the Holocaust is "downplaying," then that the refusal was motivated by hate. This is a performance of virtue that insults the intelligence.
.@SenateCA human rights committee votes 7 to 1 to criminalize Indian Residential School “denialism.” Public statements intended to promote hatred by downplaying impacts of Residential Schools would be outlawed under threat of 2 years in jail. blacklocks.ca/vote-to-outlaw… #cdnpoli @TerryGlavin @jonkay

It’s like eliminating the long-form census. No data, no problems, no scrutiny, no accountability.
Science gasps for breath. They are removing all the ocean monitors to understand changes in currents and climate, and the excuse is a master class in obfuscation & double speak . (1/2) nytimes.com/2026/06/01/clima…

Nice to see former Minister weighing in
“As a natural-born Canadian citizen, my loyalty is to the United States.” This is where the cheapening of Canadian citizenship has taken us. Someone who holds Canadian citizenship, but openly declares loyalty to a foreign state, and advocates for the destruction of Canadian sovereignty. This is absurd. If @arjunswritings had a shred of honour, he would renounce his Canadian citizenship. And if Canada believes citizenship has any meaning, Parliament should amend the Citizenship Act to allow for the revocation of citizenship from those who have renounced their loyalty to Canada.

My latest for @quillette, on lessons for journalists to prevent the next unmarked-graves-type social panic. Lesson #1: Stop treating Indigenous sources as if they were sacred mystics who channel unfalsifiable "knowings." Like all of us, they make mistakes quillette.com/2026/06/03/pre…

Delighted to write this piece in @globeandmail with my friend @ShimookaR If we want the CAF to adapt, we need to accept the risks – and the breaking of the eggs in the process. theglobeandmail.com/opinion/…

In @quillette, I closely analyzed the @globeandmail’s muddled five-year-anniversary unmarked-graves feature…in which the newspaper finally admits there might be no graves, but still refuses to acknowledge its role in spreading the original social panic quillette.com/2026/05/23/can…

The problem she apparently fails to see is that a referendum will force people to make a binary decision they may not want to make. Opinions are much more nuanced.
Smith's folks, very annoyed at my column, are saying the question works as a two-option setup. Choose staying in Canada or choose new referendum. We'll see. calgaryherald.com/opinion/co… #ableg #abpoli #cdnpoli #yyc #yeg #canpoli

Politicians who do not oppose separation and the acts that pave the way toward separation are separatists by default.
Replying to @jengerson
I'd REALLY like to know which MLAs do, and do not, support separatism. The BQ made eye contact with the electorate and actually RAN as separatists before their referendum.
