You "shared some tears" because they're holding a Harry Potter event for kids in a park ? You "disavowed" @jk_rowling ? Are you in a cult ?
Last night, @ParkBoard did the right thing. Apologized to TGD2S community after emotional discussion. Shared some tears. Disavowed JKR. Will undertake concrete actions to rebuild trust. x.com/vangreens/status/19760…

It’s a completely meaningless term that was made up in that sacred period of human history known as the early 1990s

Harm reduction activists claimed that “safer supply” would save lives, yet, after access was severely restricted, overdose deaths in the province have plummeted.

Serious question: if you truly believe Musk is a murderer with the blood of hundreds of thousands on his hands, why are you generating free content for his social media service? Like, if you truly believe this and it’s not just a debating point, how does this make sense?
He caused the deaths of hundreds of thousands of the poorest people in the world. Don’t tell me how to feel about that. hsph.harvard.edu/news/usaid-…

Does anyone know how to fix this? Some fancy plumbing gardener retrofitted our outdoor water attachment and now there’s water coming out of the top circular thingamajigger …. I tried tightening it, but it won’t seal on the gasket even when I added sealing tape. It just spins on the plastic threads …. Can a weekend DIY hack replace the gasket by himself?

I’m fine for people to run around waving their flags and screaming about how we scored a goal in a soccer match. But the idea that getting a draw against a balkan country of 3 million people is some kind of historic Canadian achievement seems quite weird to me.

Wrote about this exact moment and the moments we then saw inside the stadium today as Cyle Larin lifted Canada all the way up. Can a country lift its team? Yes. And this team of all teams is ready to feed off Canada’s love. For @TorontoStar thestar.com/sports/soccer/wo…

I’m actually losing my mind about this trillionaire news and about the people defending it. Sick, sick world. EW

“Wealth glutton” is the term used by a certain kind of downwardly mobile Canadian ex-journalist to describe what normal people call “successful “
The Shopify CEO is an all time loser, up there with Elon. Just a mortifying wealth glutton. You can’t “make” this much money. You can only steal the fruits of others’ labour. The fact that billionaires exist — while Canadians can’t afford groceries — is a societal failure

What did I say that you actually disagree with? As you just pointed out there are plenty of other reasons to dislike Musk. We have an incumbent “intellectual” class that eschews debate, thinking, and nuance, and thinks politics is healthy when leaders do the same.
Were I running for a political leadership position in Canada I would simply not simp for Elon Musk, who is responsible for an incredible number of deaths, and is currently encouraging race riots in Ireland

The guy fronting Bill C-34 is @MarcMillerVM, the same Lib who, as recently as 2023, said he wanted to throw Canadians in jail for denying the existence of fake “unmarked graves” that he helped make up. What sane Cdn trusts these people to decide what people are allowed to say?
Bill C-34, the "social media ban" bill, contains the power to ban under-16s from all online games which I find cruel and unfair. Even worse, it would allow for government censorship of "harmful content," muzzling lawful conversations of adults. My column: nationalpost.com/opinion/jam…

I actually think the question of whether kids should be allowed to use social media is one that reasonable people can differ on. And I don’t, in principle, oppose the idea. But it’s obvious that @MarcMillerVM & fellow Libs are using this as a pretext to inpose a more general regime of ideologically based censorship. Which isn’t surprising: The Libs have been fixated on this sort of thing since Trudeau came to power. Carney seems less fixated on it, yet still seems receptive. They don’t have public trust on the issue, nor should they.

This is the memo Flemish public broadcaster @VRT didn't want anyone to see. Their own survey on LGBT and gender tolerance found people of foreign origin scored the highest intolerance of any category — and their research department quietly instructed journalists not to report it. @mboudry read it on live television anyway.

The hilarious thing is that our dude @JohnPaulDanko was so proud of his bozo eruption that he went on X to spike the football and brag about how he’d tried to censor any talk of biology (because it’s Pride!). Zero self-awareness about how idiotic this looks to every normal person
Leftist legislators in Canada have an absolute MELTDOWN after conservative MP Vincent Neil Ho asks a scientist to define what a woman is. "It is pride month!... Where this question is going is HIGHLY offensive... Asking someone what is a man or a woman is HIGHLY offensive!"

Don’t forget 53 year old Justin Trudeau brat-packers They seem to have a lot of problems with social media too
We’ve seen the devastating impact that social media and AI chatbot platforms can have on children. Our Safe Social Media Act will ban social media for children under 16 and require platforms to put children’s safety first in the design of their services.

He shoved his fingers through her spandex, digitally penetrating her. The victim shouted to her mom that his fingers were inside her "c**chie." This is so disturbing. She's a 15-year-old girl & this young man assaulted her in public in a wrestling match.

For instance, @MarcMillerVM’s own fake-news posts about “unmarked graves,” which resulted in the arson of dozens of places of worship across Canada? It seems that this falls into the category of undermining “social stability,” right Marc?
Social media posts deemed to undermine “social stability” would be subject to blocking orders by a federal censor under Bill #C34 introduced yesterday. “The law applies as soon as it comes into force.” — @MarcMillerVM @CdnHeritage blacklocks.ca/censor-for-sak… #cdnpoli
