I just closed out a great week of training officers with the @MiamiDadePD on recognizing & responding to individuals with #autism. Mr. Kent Schomber, an autistic self-advocate from @UMNSUCARD assisted with the training. The #MDPD officers thoroughly enjoyed interacting with Kent!

The @RockwallPD1 began the first of a two-day #autism training today with @AutismCop to learn how to better respond to those on the spectrum.
The @PlanoPoliceDept and Rockwall County Sheriff's Office joined the training.

Youth Resource Deputies from @SJSOPIO received training to understand the needs & challenges of students with autism. My son, Daniel, was able share his experience of living with autism with the Deputies. These Deputies made him feel incredibly welcomed & appreciated. @FLSheriffs
